"The moment we walked in we were overwhelmed by the nostalgic memories of camping trips from our youth. The cabin, situated on a peaceful lake and in a fairy-woodland, gently persuades one to thoroughly release every stress. The cabin itself is well-stocked and smells of fresh pine. Our family was blessed beyond measure by our stay. Also, Heidi and her family are wonderful people! "

"The directions provided by the owner were very accurate and helpful. The lot was beautiful with a firepit and a very short walk to the dock, where clear water awaited. I did have some issues, though, which would've been mitigated with some additional information. There is running water but the smell of sulfur was overwhelming. It was not drinkable..bring lots of water. Showers are not really able to be taken as the smell makes your eyes water. Mice were an issue, BUT, it is a wood cabin. Keep all food secured and wash and store your dishes, as I was woken the first night by the ting ting of the mouse eating chicken alfredo from a rattling fork (while standing 2 inches from the "rodent control sound device"). That being said I moved a pillow in the couch and there was a large amount of mouse poop under there...indicating it wasnt cleaned or vacuumed. The code for the lock worked, but I the keys or the mechanism wouldnt allow the lock device to open to give me the keys. Luckily there was someone with tools down the road to assist. The lockbox for the keys wouldnt lock when I left. The canoe was unable to be used due to holes and the rowboat is too unwieldy and heavy for one person to get that out into the water, so one of the major reasons I booked the area, to fish using a canoe/boat, was unable to be realized. Overall, the place would've been better had the listing been a bit more forthcoming with the information presented BUT was a beatiful place. "

"We loved our stay in Northfield! The house was beautiful and big enough for our family of 7. The property is nice and kayaking around the lake was a lot of fun. "

"We wanted to have a nice secluded location that provides a beach and fishing access to enjoy family time with all the fun the kids love to do. We enjoyed our stay! The house is on a great property with lots of room. The houses nextdoor are visible but far enough away that you don't feel bothered. The entire area was so quiet and you can hear the beautiful look calls at night! Ample wood was provided to enjoy at fire at night and all the necessities are available in the home. The house gets a great breeze off the lake as well that cools you off at night. The shower is a camp shower so it is pretty narrow but we aren't picky. Overall a great stay and a great property! Very beautiful! Thank you! "

"What a wonderful place! If you want to get away and center your mind, come here. Comfortable, clean and secluded. Everything you need is here, and Ken was very helpful. Best vacation I've had and the whole family recharged their batteries."
