"This is a very unusual hotel. We had a superior twin room on the first floor with a huge balcony over a 300 ft vertical cliff. From your balcony, you have an open view of the valley below. The birds are flying below you, not above you. The hotel has a feeling of a very well-maintained old palace. The bathroom is very large. The level of services at the hotel is limited, but satisfactory. "

"This is a lovely hotel, and our room was beautiful. We loved Grazalema. Our only critique is that we opted to include dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, our dinner was limited to 2 choices of entree, neither of which was appealing to us. Also, the breakfast was not as good as other places we stayed in Spain & Portugal. If I were to stay here again, I would not include the dinner. "

"A glorious place about 10 mins drive on the Seville road just North of the teeming crowds of Ronda. In the middle of a vineyard and really peaceful with a decent restaurant 5 mins walk away. Very helpful South African owners and a well behaved begging dog. Pool was open in May which was not expected - a bit chilly but refreshing. Hope they keep the honesty bar which was very useful. We didn’t cheat but others have. Winery on the property is owned by others but worth a try if you like real quality. Breakfast was quirky but good fun - a basket delivered to your door at exactly 9 am containing everything you could want. Well done."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in El Gastor. The house was as pictured, though unfortunately it was unseasonably cold so we could not use the pool. Instead, we got to enjoy a fire most nights! The view across the valley is gorgeous, and the mountain peak just behind the house is also beautiful. We visited Olvera, Grazalema, Zahara, Setinil de las Bodegas, and Ronda; all nearby and easily accessible by car. We rented bikes in Olvera and cycled the Via Verde, and we hiked to the dolmen just up from the town. The Gastrobar in El Gastor has great food and views. Thank you Luis!"

"This property is beautiful. Nestled in the valley overlooking the fields, it has quiet charm and luxury. The staff were exceptional, the rooms were incredible, the grounds were peaceful. The area is close enough to drive to nearby attractions. Wish we could have stayed longer. "

"Very quaint hotel - all the main sites in Arcos are easily walkable within a few minutes from the hotel. Some of the finishes are a bit dated - I think it's perhaps more of a 2-star hotel and even the plaque on the outside of the hotel only has 1 star but, as I understand it, the Spanish hotel rating system is undergoing updates. The room we got definitely had a different feel than the ones pictured online (again, more dated) but nevertheless it was comfortable and did the job for our one-night stay. The shared spaces are lovely, including the rooftop patio. The staff were friendly and helpful. Note that there is no parking but the front desk staff kindly advised us that on streets where the curb and lines are painted blue, street parking within these marked areas is free. On a complete fluke (we were lost trying to find paid parking, lol), we were able to find blue-marked areas on Av. Miguel Mancheño, an approx. 5-minute walk from the hotel. "
