"Lovely rooms which are spotless and good size towels The Bath House amenities fabulous smell and quality Had the special Steak and wine dinner which was great value in the pub itself with happy friendly staff at hand throughout Gigantic breakfast cooked with care including everything you could want Very much enjoyed walking around Giggleswick which is very pretty"

"Stayed at the hotel a few years ago and we were very pleasantly surprised with the improvements that have been made. We had a lovely quiet room on the first floor overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was very good on both mornings and we had dinner each evening which was excellent. Lovely menu and served piping hot. One thing we found strange that the drinks tray in the room had coffee, tea, sugar, lovely biscuits but only one hot chocolate. We both fancied a hot chocolate at bedtime but were disappointed to find only one It was quite warm in our room, but I found a fan on the shelf in the wardrobe. Unfortunately when I plugged it in and switched it on I got a face full of dust. Just minor niggles but small things can make a big difference."

"The Dumfries Holiday Inn was an overnight stay for us. The room was large and comfortable, and in the new part of the building. It was clean and functional and we had no complaints. The dinner was of a good standard, and the staff handled a change of order mid-way well. We had wine served in a slightly dirty glass, but that was dealt with promptly and with an apology and minimal fuss. The bar staff, waitress and waiter couldn’t have nicer. There was a suggestion made about a walk round the really interesting grounds of the university that the hotel sits in. The waitress knew about a map that reception had but the receptionist did not. That was sorted, so an early morning walk was taken and enjoyed. Breakfast was good and very much enjoyed. Check out was simple. A good hotel, that we would recommend and would stay at again."

"We arrived at 10pm. Lovely lady at reception who explained everything to us. Lovely clean quiet room. Comfy beds, great showers. Had breakfast over at the stop area. Was lovely food but not enough staff on duty"

"Right in the centre of Carlisle close to station, carpark right behind hotel with direct entrance to hotel. Room simple but clean and sound proof considering we were near the bars. Comfy bed and there’s a Kettle and hair dryer in room. Pool table and table football game in lobby nice bar area Staff friendly would stay again"

"Needs a refurb but for the price it was fine. All staff very pleasant and the room spotless. Bar was closed for a while due to a technical issue and the lift not working but other than that, all good."

"Great location Friendly and helpful staff Facilities a little dated BUT clean/ functional Elderly mother couldnt get in the shower as it was over a bath but we managed adequately and there are walk in showers available ++Hairdryer and fan in room DEFINATELY STAY AGAIN"
