However, the house manager was very contentious from the start, not very responsive, and definitely not interested in making our stay comfortable (no toilet paper or soap in the entire house when we arrived after a trans Atlantic flight, some dirty towels and argued about giving us more, lots of threats of additional charges, etc). She accused us of breaking a sun umbrella upon checkout that was broken when we arrived....

"This large place is on the second floor of lovely stone house in the countryside just outside of Chateaurenard. It is very quiet and has a beautiful sunny deck on which we enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners. We could see 3 horses relaxing in the field outside our bedroom window and tried to greet the owner’s 2 cats. The owners were very hospitable and were kindly patient with my horrible French.
