Rustic Lake St. Catherine (Poultney, VT) cottage with nice dock and swimming area on “the Big Lake.” There are also 2 other cottages in this area should your larger family require. All 3 cottages share the same outdoor space and amenities. This is a super location for a family vacation at a Vermont Lake.

This property uses lake water in the home, please bring your own water for drinking and cooking.
This property does not have heat.
The property is shut down for the season, beginning early to mid-October.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Lovely but needs a bit

Comfortable with lovely grounds and docks, enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards! The porch is light and cheery and is the best part of the house; however the living room is not as pictured - it is not painted light colors, but dark and gloomy. Kitchen large and well furnished however the screen is torn, and a squirrel got in, which was a bit scary though it did get back out. We had to keep the window closed. A much bigger problem was that the code-machine to get in was unreliable. We entered the first time, but next time, it did not open the lock. We called but got a phone tree -- no human ever came on to help us while we stood inthe rain trying agin and again. Finally after 10 minutes, the buttons worked and we got it. Then we had to leave the other door unlocked for the rest of our stay. FIX IT Vrbo!! and also be sure you have a human being nearby to help in such situations, not a robot or long phonetree.

Cozy on the water

Older cottage, but clean and freshened up with paint. Small, but had everything you needed, including fans in every room, books, games, kitchen ware. Beds were not that comfortable for the older folks, fine for the younger ones. Shared access to kayaks, canoe, and paddle boards was a huge plus! Beautiful spot on Lake St. Catherine, perfect for swimming and boating right from the yard. Two other cottages share the outdoors space and amenities (fire pit, grill, kayaks, swim docks, etc.). We were lucky to have pleasant neighbors in those cottages, and we enjoyed our conversations and had no problems sharing space with them.

Great Holiday Weekend

Property offers a lot being in Ludlow and right on the ski trails. We had to communicate with Slopside Okemo who were helpful. There was no propane tank but the property manager was quick to allow us to buy one when in town and reimburse us for the cost.

Awesome property

Nice property, amenities and very clean! Many comfortable rooms with good beds. We all had a great time! Okemo staff is very friendly and helpful. They were always available, patient and respectful when we had questions during stay.

Fantastic Vacation Property !

This is a beautiful, clean, spacious property that any guest would be pleased to stay at, no matter what time of year! We felt welcomed before we even stepped into the property as communication from the property owner was exemplary. Everything was clean, beautiful, and exactly as described. Actually better than described as the pictures don't do the place justice. Would highly recommend to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. So many great things to do in the area as well, from outdoor activities to shopping and more (interesting things for all age levels). Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Solid Getaway House

Our group really enjoyed coming up to Vermont and staying the weekend. The house has a lot of bedrooms and space between the various connected parts and the hot tub was awesome to have. Sliding doors, screen doors, and windows could use some attention as they can be a bit difficult to operate. But that was the only flaw!

Great location, spacious, well-equipped house

We booked this house for a weekend with 20 people and a large age range (6 to 75+). It's location on Okemo mountain had hiking trails from the backyard and was close to other attractions in town. The house was very clean and had plenty of spaces to hang out for all the different groups. We appreciated the well supplied kitchen, had all the pots/pans/dishes/cups/silverware we needed for our weekend. The team was responsive to any questions we asked/made sure we knew what would be going on and had clear instructions posted on things that might be confusing. Wifi was plenty powerful for everyone's devices while we were there, they had laundry detergent, board games, and plenty of linens/towels. Would absolutely stay again with a large group, loved the experience!

Ski Vacation to Paradise

What a ski house!! Walk right on to Sachem Trail and you are off. This is great for older kids who can already ski, trail might be a little tough for a beginner or younger children. "Ski Room" on the first floor is genius to get ready and out the door. House is spacious, clean and just exactly what you want for a ski vacation. Can't wait to stay here again. Nothing but professionalism from Slopeside Okemo and their team, so easy to deal with.

Beautiful large home

Very spacious home! 12 adults and 2 kids and everyone had a blast. We had space to divide and chill, as well as commune in the living room as well. Wonderful and would recommend!!

Long Weekend in VT

The property was a spectacular setting for a group of friends who have been quarantined together to get away for a relaxing weekend. The house was perfect for a larger group, however we were surprised by the numerous flights of stairs. We were traveling with a 1 year old so this was tricky but manageable, just keep your group demographic in mind when considering the 5 flights of stairs!! Linens and rooms were immaculate. Would love to book this home again! Great yard for games and a beautiful view.

Golf weekend

This house is huge. So many beds and bathrooms. The property is gorgeous. Close to all local spots for dinner and all that Okemo has to offer. We played Okemo golf course and Killington. Echo lake is 10 minutes away. Epic trip and great property management. My group will be back this upcoming winter.

Fantastic Family Fun

My siblings and I rented this house for a long weekend with our families. We chose the rental based on the number of beds and bathrooms and the amount of open space for all of us to be together. We were sold by the photos and the reality was better than we had imagined. We had an amazing weekend enjoying all that Ludlow has to offer...amazing scenery, sunrises, foliage and family. The dining area accommodated huge card games and shared meals. The center fireplace allowed us all to gather around and share each others company. We even took some short hikes up the ski slope behind the unit. It was a great fall getaway. I would definitely rent this home again in the future.

Stay during fall 2019

Wonderful experience. House is huge , good enough for group of 22 , well equipped with utensils , towels , toys and very comfy beddings. View is spectacular and right on the trails. Property management is managed by nice people , easy check in and checkout procedures. Detailed directions to the house and all the instructions are placed in envelopes which is very helpful. Overall awesome experience , will look forward to visit again during snow season.
