Type 22 Pillbox
Part of the Outer London Defence Ring, a series of pillboxes and tank-traps intended to defend London in the event of invasion. The defences were constructed in the summer of 1940 under the direction of Edmund Ironside.

"Hertford locality is so nice and having a 5 star place to stay in it was amazing. How tub overlooking lake and farm. Lovely pubs walking distance with great food. Couldn’t be better."

"Came to an untidy front door area. Up stairs to a room that felt unclean. Bathroom toilet seat loose almost completely broken. Dirty at back of toilet & sink also dirty. Broken latch on bathroom door. Key to bedroom did not lock door so unlocked all night. Put a chair by door. Ad led me to think I would have own kitchen area. Not so shared kitchen"

"Booked property based on location and price. This property was perfect for a family of 4. It’s a quick 15 minute drive to the London overground and within 30 minutes you’re in London. Excellent communication, quiet surroundings, felt very safe. Property was very clean and had plenty of linens. Would recommend to anyone and will look to stay again."
