"My husband took me, grammy, auntie and our kiddos to Bodega Bay for my birthday and this property was far more than expected. Beautiful, clean, WAY more spacious and open than the photos give the vibe of. The light in the main area is to die for and the view of golfers having their morning tee was more entertaining than expected. You can watch sunset on the bay from behind the house. It's far on the horizon, but still spectacular. Deer were everywhere and we loved walking to the beach. It was through the neighborhood and the hills were steep but not too much for grammy. stairs to the beach would be hard for those with mobility concerns, but It was a special lil adventure and walk on the beach a couple mornings. Doran was right down the street, local eateries were pleasant and the trip was just perfect. The hot tub, fireplace and BBQ were all used and fantastic and the host was overly communicative In the perfect kid of way. we knew we would be cared for well.Only drawback was main living area doesn't have a bathroom without going into a bedroom. As long as that works for your group, enjoy! It was a spectacular lil beach town residence. Toys, chairs and boogie boards for the beach too if youre there in the warmer months."

"Well stocked, great ocean views and deck, beautiful landscape, and actually sharp knives which is rare. Love the large dining table adjacent to the comfortable living room, and right across the street from a fantastic trail that leads to sweeping ocean vistas. The front porch patio is a great spot to relax and get away when the sun is hot on the western side, which it was on our stay during a bay area heat wave. Didnt use the hot tub, but it was clean and hot. Highly recommend."

"The house was comfortable and the view was lovely. It was easy to get to the beach and the neighborhood was quiet. We ran into a few small problems such as running out of garbage bags, hand soap and TP in one bathroom. I was surprised that the host didn't respond when I messaged. We figured out workarounds and enjoyed a comfortable weekend."

"My second time staying at this quaint hotel. The bed is incredibly comfortable and for a solo traveler, the room is the right size. I would imagine for two people it is more of a tight fit. As it’s an old house, the walls are quite thin so I could hear nearly every word of the boisterous conversation next door, and the kitchen staff cleaning up at the restaurant downstairs is quite loud if you’re trying to get an early night’s sleep. Maybe bring a sound machine if those kinds of noises bother you. The water pressure in the shower was quite low and not a lot of water comes out, so don’t expect a luxurious shower experience. But overall, a cute place to make a weekend getaway and very clean and well cared for. Note there is no staff on site and it is self check-in."

"We celebrated my daughter's sweet 16 birthday with a group of her friends and a few mom chaperones and had a fun and relaxing weekend there. The house is very spacious and has a dining table and kitchen large enough to host a group of 12. We enjoyed the downstairs theater, hot tub, and pool table. We had enough space, that I slept well in a bed far from the girls chatting and giggling late into the night. The hiking trails nearby were nice for getting out and one leads to a beach that seems to be only accessible by that trail, so there weren't many people there. We saw deer and quail from the windows and nice views of the ocean. I really appreciated the large and well-equiped kitchen when we prepped a big birthday dinner. There are two stoves, two ranges, and two sinks and we made use of them all! The girls enjoyed making drinks from the espresso machine in the morning. Checking in and out was very simple and we had no issues. Communication with the host was clear and prompt. We enjoyed eating at the nearby Fishetarian the first night and I went back the next day and bought some delicious fresh fish for our big dinner. I highly recommend this place for a big family get together or large group of friends. It s a clean, bright, quiet, and relaxing place to stay."

"If you are used to luxe accommodations, this is not for you. If you would like a quiet, serene experience in a rural setting, this location is great.This was a good base to explore Tomales, Dillon Beach, Bodega, Bodega Bay and Valley Ford.The Estero Cafe was nice for breakfast and Dinucci’s is a must do for both the food and the experience.I generally prefer short term rentals to hotels but this visit at the Estero Guesthouse was a bit too rustic for me."
