"Spent three days at the Bel Sit in mid-September. We were in one of the two first floor suites. The rooms were large and comfortable, albeit the layout a bit unusual. Nice bathroom and the "magic" shower is effective and somewhat entertaining. The weather was turning cool and the room could have been warmer at night. Most appreciated at the property is the staff and the view. On your balcony, you are about twenty feet from the lapping water of the beautiful lake. The view is sensational and we were lucky to have a full moon rise over the lake one night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A local note. Not sure you could do much without a car. Parking was available and convenient without many guests in the hotel. We greatly enjoyed a visit to the palace and gardens on one of the Borromea Islands. Probably won't be back to Lake Maggiori, but if so would gladly stay again."

"Our lake view room was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. I am GF and a basket with bread, muffins, cornflakes was provided every day. Orta is a lovely town with good access to boats and lots of different restaurants."

"A joy to celebrate my husband's special birthday here. We enjoyed 3 nights of wonderful care and help from a brilliant, attentive reception team, especially Sara and Richard. Nikolai was so kind driving us to places to eat in the village in the evening. A special shout out for the young barman, whose name I didnt get, whose English is exceptional. The hotel is ideally placed for the village, the island and the Unesco Sacro Monte. The Couples Symposium in the Wellness Suite was a real treat. The two therapists were friendly and professional and gave us a fabulous treatment. The exceptional meal in the restaurant was the best treat of all, innovative, delicious.a wonderful experience, alongside a very good wine flight and excellent service."
