"Lochsie"
This is well equipped, high end accommodation. A place for those who's time out and creature comforts are important to them.
The kitchen, dining area and living room are open plan, allowing a feeling of space where you can enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine. You are on holiday after all!
The large bathroom has both a bath and seperate shower. You will find a selection of toiletries by Aaran Aromatics, a local boutique company. Feel free to take the "minature" bottles home with you.
A kingsize bed awaits you in the relaxing bedroom, furnished with solid light oak drawers, bedside tables and wardrobe where you will find a toweling robe each.

Spacious and private cottage.

This was a fantastic location from which to visit Portree and travel around Skye. If you have a vehicle and don't mind a very brief drive into town, you can enjoy the quiet of the countryside during your stay. Well appointed and large living space in addition to bedroom and sizable bathroom with both tub and shower.

Lochsie Cottage is a great place to stay!

Lochsie Cottage Peinmore House is a great place to stay when visiting the Isle of Skye. It is under 2 miles from Portree and offers a great base to explore what the Isle has to offer. It is quiet and extremely comfortable and very private. The heating was perfect as the weather was quite cold and the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen and washer wash very good and handy too. Just perfect thank you Don.

Quintessential Scottish Cottage

Felt like a home

I recently stayed with my child and baby. It is spacious and clean with everything you would need in a home away from home. The property is just as it appears online, well appointed and comfortable. It has washer/dryer combo, dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove top, fridge with small freezer. The location is quiet and close to town. I loved our stay here.

Absolutely beautiful. Arriving in the rain and wind, Lochsie cottage was warm, comforting and a perfect place to relax. Clean and tidy, with space to unpack, unwind and enjoy a glass of wine. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The bathroom filled with lovely smelling Arran products. The bed was super comfy and cosy. Location was great and easy to find; quiet and peaceful too. Lochsie cottage; the perfect place to relax and recharge.

A week on Skye

Beautiful location and comfortable , well equipped cottage. Just beware of the awkward turn off the main road down to the property. There is an alternative route if you turn off at the signpost to the camping pods. The road is rougher but the turn on and off the A87 much easier to negotiate.

Idyllic gem and every comfort

Loved every minute of my stay here. Beautifully appointed. Great towels ( love big towels), incredible kitchen, spacious rooms, lovely garden areas. Loved the washing machine and the detergent pods. Appreciated the wine (but would have strangely preferred milk to make a cup of tea after a long drive… not a complaint, just an observation). Very helpful staff with immediate response to a query for wifi help. Just outside Portree in oeavefulnlocstion with stunning views, but only two minutes to the town. Was sad to leave.

Cozy and Comfortable Cottage

This quiet and beautiful cottage is even nicer than it looks in the photographs. We loved the location - just a few minutes from the turnoff to Dunvegan and to Portree. It's right off the main road, but peaceful and has beautiful grounds. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable when we weren't out sightseeing. The washer/dryer was much appreciated as this was mid-trip on a long journey. The newly remodeled kitchen was so nice that we ended up cooking every night instead of hassling with reservations at restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying at Lochsie Cottage.

In serious need of renovation

The property looks like it might have been nice at one point but it’s in serious need of renovation. The kitchen floor has sunken and the laminate is cracked, there’s black mould in the carpet at the back door and the on the wall. The front door handle fell off as soon as we arrived. The heat had not been on in a while and everything, including the sheets were damp and cold. The whole cottage smelled musty and we had to run out and purchase air fresheners. The only good thing was the washing machine.

nice stay - needs small updating

Nice property overall. Back door doesn't lock/secure properly. Overall nice property, however, property needs instructions for washer/dryer and heating system. Coming from a different company and trying to figure these things out was a little frustrating. There was a dog poo the size of Ben Nevis in front of door first 2 days. Someone finally removed it. Overall, as nice as a property you could get for location. Owner did communicate well when we needed help with washer/dryer, however, instructions on how to operate appliances would be more convenient. We would stay there again despite a small few frustrations. The back door not securing/locking needs to be looked at.

In need of renovations

Host never responded to messages sent though Vrbo app. The check-in instructions were incorrect so I had to email them directly. When we arrived there were high chairs in boxes sitting just inside the front door. There was black mould in the carpet at the back door and what looks to be mould in the left corner near the ceiling. The floor in the kitchen has sunken and the laminate is cracked. The heat had been off for a while so everything, including the bed sheets were damp and cold. The whole unit smelled musty so we had to run out and purchase air freshening sprays.

Great Location

We recently spent a week in the Lochsie Cottage. It is very comfortable, well equipped and was spotlessly clean when we checked in. The cottage is a great location from which to explore the Isle of Skye. It is a very short drive into Portree for groceries or restaurants. We found downtown Portree to be congested with people, cars and insufficient parking so it was nice to get away to the solitude offered by the cottage. If I could make one suggestion to the owners it would be to include in the cottage a binder with operating instructions for the appliances and perhaps a little info about the area (recommended restaurants, etc). We have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s and the appliances in each one are just a little different. While it was fairly easy to figure things out, some instructions would have just made it quicker. Most VRBO’s have such a binder. It’s a small thing but just a nice touch. Overall, we were totally pleased with our accommodations and would certainly recommend Lochsie Cottage to anyone visiting Skye.
