The Marmalade Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Staying at the Marmalade was such a wonderful experience! The room was super clean, well kept, and had plenty of space. The amenities were a huge plus, too. We loved having access to the sauna, and the restaurant was great whether you wanted an early breakfast, a nice dinner, or a quick drink before bed. The views from the restaurant and our room were beautiful. Parking is available on the property, but honestly, everything is just a short walk away."

"Location wise this place was perfect, especially for the price point. It’s older so the amenities are a little outdated but we weren’t bothered (our bathroom was recently updated so that was a bonus). No onsite parking but seems the whole town parks at the community centre for no charge (about a 3 min walk from hotel). The pillows were horrible though so be warned."

"We loved our stay here in Portree! The house was perfect and very spacious and comfortable. Very convenient to town and a great spot to launch our day adventures around Skye. The views are lovely. The house is not directly on the beach and there wasn’t access to the shore without going past another house and it is near the road so there wasn’t access some traffic noise, but minimal. I would stay here again and recommend this great spot to anyone!"
