It is therefore essential to reset your odometer as directed below. The kilometre readings given in these directions (shown in brackets) are only for guidance and may not be exact. We suggest that before you set off you acquaint yourselves with the way your odometer works. In most cars it is electronic. To reset most of these models, press the button until the reading flashes for some time and then becomes zero. Please take care driving on these roads. We suggest you enjoy a leisurely lunch either in the traditional town of Figari or at the marina in Porto Vecchio. You may also wish to purchase a few shopping items before your arrival although a welcome hamper has been provided. Your villa will be available from 4pm From Ajaccio Airport (approximately 3 hours) 1. Leave the airport on the exit road (Route de Campo Dell Oro) and at the main road roundabout turn right onto the N193(T20) towards Corte and Bastia. 2. Follow the N193(T20) for around 2.1km and at the roundabout take the right turn onto the N196(T40) towards Propriano, Sartène and Bonifacio. 3. Stay on the N196(T40) passing through Propriano, Sartène and Pianotolli. 4. After approximately 4.5km turn left onto the D859 Figari road and re-set your odometer. Carry on along this road passing through the villages of Figari and Sotta in the direction of Porto Vecchio. 5. Follow the directions from Figari airport from step 4. From Bastia Airport (approximately 2 hours 30 minutes) 1. Once you have left the airport, after 1.2km you will come to a roundabout. Go straight ahead over the bridge and take the 1st exit on the right signposted Calvi, Ajaccio and Bonifacio. 2. Continue on this road for 5.8km. At the next roundabout, go straight over towards Porto Vecchio. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit to your right signposted Porto Vecchio N198(T10). 3. Continue on this road until you reach the outskirts of Porto Vecchio. Follow the ring road over 5 roundabouts in the direction of Ajaccio and Bonifacio. 4. You will re-join the N198(T10) heading towards Bonifacio. Carry on along this road for approximately 6km. You will go over one roundabout. 5. Follow the directions from Figari airport from step 6. From Calvi Airport (approximately 3 hours 30 minutes) 1. Turn right out of the airport. After 3km you will come to a roundabout. Take the 1st exit to your right onto the N197(T30) signposted Ile Rousse. You pass Ile Rousse 20km further on. 2. Continue on this road towards Ponte Leccia. At Ponte Leccia head south to Corte. 3. At the roundabout in central Corte take the 1st exit onto the N200 (T50) toward Aleria. 4. Continue until you come to Aleria, at the T junction turn Right onto the N198(T10) towards Porto Vecchio. 5. Continue on this road until you reach the outskirts of Porto Vecchio. Follow the ring road over 5 roundabouts in the direction of Ajaccio and Bonifacio. 6. You will re-join the N198(T10) heading towards Bonifacio. Carry on along this road for approximately 6km. You will go over one roundabout. 7. Follow the directions from Figari airport from step 6. From Figari Airport (approximately 30 minutes) 1. The car park exit is on the right as you face the terminal building. At the exit to the car park bear right to join the road (the left turn takes you back to the terminal). Continue straight on for approximately 3km until you reach the roundabout. 2. At the next 2 roundabouts take the second exit in the direction of Porto-Vecchio, and continue down down this route passing through the village of Sotta. 3. After approximately 16km you will reach a Total petrol station on the right, immediately followed by a roundabout. At the roundabout take the 1st right towards Bonifacio on the N198(T10). 4. Carry on along this road for approximately 6km, carrying straight over at the roundabouts. 5. Take a right turn onto the D459 signposted Cardetu and Petra Longa Salvini. It is about 3.5km from this point to the villa. 6. At the recycling bins on your left continue straight on towards Petra Longa Salvini for about 1.3km. Go uphill, following a series of hairpin bends. Pass a sign on your left to Hameau de Petra Lunga and continue up the hill. 7. Alzitella is the first house on your left. Pass the house and turn left through the gateway in the stone wall into the driveway. If you reach Casa Salvini and/or the village sign for Petra Longa Salvini you have gone too far!
