"if you dont mind 4 blank walls then this place is perfect. They do have a ceiling roof that you can open and a side window (both a hidden) that can open to let outer light in. This is essentially a capsule hotel but with a bigger room and a personal bathroom"

"The room was clean and house keeping attended daily. The building is very old as I suspect many in the area are. The bathroom was very small and one of the taps in the shower was broken. It came out of the wall in my hand. There was soap supplied. The heat pump was very good for air conditioning. The beds were adequate but very uncomfortable mattresses for both. The area is secure and in the heart of shopping districts and restaurants. There is no elevator and our room was on the third floor so it was difficult climb with suitcases. We were helped by the staff with that on arrival. There were no amenities for food or coffee at the hotel. The key access was very old and each outings the key was handed in to the desk clerk which did feel safe as there was staff there 24 hours. The desk clerks were friendly. The fee I paid when I booked was changed when I arrived for a considerably larger fee and was told by the desk clerk that his friend made a mistake when he booked me. This was upsetting."

"I ended up staying here only one night out of my three nights booked. I will start with the positives: the hotel is generously sized and absolutely in keeping with what North Americans would expect of a hotel: large lobby, large reception area/desk, extremely generously sized bedrooms. I think this hotel is a wonderful idea for families who would like to share the generously sized bedrooms. Breakfast was absolutely phenomenal. The buffet was plentiful and varied. Probably the best I've had in Porto. The downside for me was how far it is from the central tourist part of Porto. My understanding when I had booked was that the hotel was 2 to 3 km outside of the city center. And I thought to myself that it would be possible to cover that distance either by walking or with an Uber ride. However, the hotel is incredibly far from Porto Central. Ubers are hard to come by and you wait at least 15 minutes for them to pick you up, on top of the 10 minutes the app spends trying to find a driver. Depending on the time (ie day time), it may also take half an hour of sitting in traffic to get to Porto. Based on that, I opted to check out and go to downtown Porto. So if your priority is to have quick access to the sites and sounds as a tourist, this hotel would not be a suitable option. If that is not your priority, this hotel is a fantastic option. I also found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating."
