"Fun, funky and artsy boutique hotel just a few steps away from the pedestrian shopping area and the park. Spacious room with a welcome decanter of port, but no in-room fridge or coffee maker. Wonderful staff and breakfast with a nice buffet selection and cooked to order eggs and bacon. Small inconvenience of no onsite parking and no place to pull over to unload bags. No lift, so be aware that even if you book the 1st floor, it's really the 2nd floor, as the first floor is "Piso Zero" there. "

"Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable. "

"The old farmhouse is amazing with lots of antiques and the property is so pretty. All the amazing details make this the perfect, relaxing spot to spend a few days. The rooms are quaint with all the special extras, and the reception from Anabelle and Jean=Pierre was wonderful! We had a great breakfast with pastry and charcouterie, etc. Couldn't ask for more!"

"The couple who run the facility are engaging and very welcoming. We were greeted with a drink of choice and conversation to get to know our hosts as well as them getting to know us. The room was just as promised with a balcony overlooking the pool. We were given great advice on visiting some of the nearby sights. The location was perfect!! I celebrated my birthday while there and the host both greeted me that morning wishing me a Happy Birthday. Fabulous stay!!!"

"Beautiful home, easy to get to, excellent and welcoming staff. Very responsive and helpful BEFORE arriving. That's such a comforting feeling when you are travelling from far away. The open floor plan does make for the home to be a little noisy as guests go in and out, but that's to be expected at a B&B. The shower did not have hot water, but that's also an issue we came across at other homes in Portugal."

"A perfect pool amid a lush green retreat! This peaceful locale is an easy drive to Alcobaça, Obidos and Nazare. The hosts are delightful, as are their homemade muffins and eggs each morning. The new organic mattresses were the most comfortable we have enjoyed during our entire trip."

"Our stay in Batalha could have started out poorly as William notified us the night before our arrival that our reservation had not recorded properly, and there was no availability for our first night. He quickly made the situation right by finding us a great hotel in town for the first night. Olive Hill is as nice as it looks in the photos, and clearly William is cut out for his second career in hospitality. We’d definitely stay there again."

"Je suis très très déçue du service de VRBO, suite à mon changement (12 février 2024) de durée de mon séjour (reste 4 jours du 5 au 9 mars 2024 au lieu de 6 jours tel qu’initialement du 5 au 11 mars 2024). L'hôte a accepté le changement le même jour, mas VRBO n'a pas effectué le changement jusqu'à ce jour. Je n'ai donc pas été remboursé pour les 2 jours payés d'avance (132,06 $CA).
