The Neighborhood:

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of an incredible array of top-notch local flavors (with plenty of independent spots to explore!). Indulge in a bite at the Cartopia food cart pod, savor wings at Fire on the Mountain on East Burnside, share a pie at Apizza Scholls.

Portland's charm extends beyond its culinary delights. The vibrant indie spirit of the Hawthorne area is alive with a multitude of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.

If bar hopping isn’t your preferred activity, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 176-acre city park atop a dormant volcano vent. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, providing a perfect escape into nature right within the city limits. Whether you're a foodie, a nature enthusiast, or someone who loves exploring unique shops, the Hawthorne/Buckman District offers something special for everyone.

Getting Around:
