Good value for money and good breakfast

Really comfortable and clean room with lots of options for breakfast and water fountain available all the time. The pool was nice and it was close to the beach. The parking outside the hotel was often full however there was free on street parking although this can get busy during the day with people going to the beach. There were lots of food options around and we enjoyed the breakfast there were lots of options!

Excellent and friendly staff that were very helpful. Beds are firm but all of Europe seems this way. Very convenient walk to the beach and access to a store for drinks and snacks and an ATM. Restaurants walkable as well. Best part was the staff!

Cold water machine often didn’t work. Too many steps with luggage. AC in room was often switched off by staff. Even at lowest temperature, room was too hot. No AC in rest of hotel. Did not remove dirty dishes from room nor give shampoo , soap etc regularly. Just seemed to leave a number of random bottles sometimes. Staff not particularly friendly nor helpful . Breakfast was good and pool was nice

Bra. Personalen lät mig äta frukost tidigare när jag skulle passa flyget. Men lite dålig städning i rummet. Toan läckte och det fanns bara 2 vägguttag och dom var vid dörren, inga bredvid sämgen . Annars fint hotell, helt ok frukost. Det var väldigt lyhört, behövde sova med öronproppar.

La plage au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'Hôtel Alcaide ! Notre chambre était spacieuse et propre, et nous avons été très bien accueillies. Bien que le stationnement sur place soit limité et quelque peu difficile en raison du manque d'espace, nous avons facilement trouvé des places à l'extérieur en avril. Le petit-déjeuner sucré-salé servi à côté de la piscine était superbe, tout comme les espaces communs tels que le bar et la terrasse à l'étage. L'hôtel est idéalement situé à quelques minutes à pied de la plage, et il y a plusieurs restaurants à proximité, ce qui est très pratique.

Accueil du réceptionniste Bruno agréable et sympathique qui était la seule chose positive. La chambre était correcte et confortable mais très mal exposé côté ouest et avec une vue sur un terrain vague dangereux et très embroussaillé ! Les équipements sont de moyennes qualités et pour la plupart défectueux, comme notamment dans notre chambre le pommeau de douche avec un jet d’eau aléatoire et irrégulier et qui éclaboussait dans tout les sens ainsi que le levier du mitigeur d’eau du lavabo qui se détachait sans cesse à l’ouverture de l’eau ! Les draps de lit et serviettes de douche pas très propre et ne sont jamais changer lors du séjour ainsi que le ménage et la propreté qui laisse énormément à désirer ! La piscine était très peu fréquentés et quasiment jamais nettoyer avec beaucoup de saleté et d’insalubrité en surface ainsi qu’à l’intérieur. Le petit déjeuner était de moyenne qualité avec très peu de choix et la machine à café de petite taille et très souvent prise d’assaut à l’ouverture de la salle de bon matin. La salle du petit déjeuner est beaucoup trop petite avec beaucoup trop de monde au même moment et pour un début de saison et début de mois de mai plutôt fréquentés. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement et pour un niveau rapport qualité prix vraiment plutôt médiocre et décevant pour le Portugal !

Absolutely love our 10 day stay at hotel alcaide. Staff where so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and cleanliness was very good. The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room but given the opportunity to keep a bottle of wine in the bar cooler and ice was readily available when we needed it.
