Castle Hill Conservation Area is an awesome place for a morning stroll. Good photo compositions can be found all over the place. We didn't get great light that day but at least some moody clouds.

"Property was clean and quirky. Location was perfect to everything in Methven. We found the cottage cold and had to keep the heat pump jacked up. Bed was as hard as!!! "

"Great place to stay only 1 hr out of Christchurch.We woke up to the best view of the mountains right out the bedroom window. Rakaia gorge is beautiful with jetboat walk or swim if you want to brave the cold. Nice relaxing stay for 2 days. I would definitely stay again"
