"Exceptional! First and foremost is the great host Senhor Marque and his wonderful staff of Sophia and Katerina. They made the stay memorable. The building, a renovated barn with rock walls and exposed wood beams, is very spacious, modern and finely appointed. Senhor Marque has great taste in decorating. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The restaurant serves very high quality gourmet level food and the morning breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. We cannot say enough about this wonderful place. 5+ stars."

"Sebastian was a superb host and although he lived on the same piece of land, was unobtrusive, and always available to help us out at any time.The pool was warm and clean, with a cover for the occasional chilly evening.This was a wonderful stay and I hope to be back. I thoroughly recommend everything about it."

"Beautiful hotel but you need to tell them you have dogs. We started with a beautiful room but had to move to a cabin outside which was noisy due to garden work then a little cottage which was quickly prepared for us but was cold due to the time of year"

"Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little town. The property was charming and well equipped. I would suggest reviewing the bed itself, it was hard as a rock and we had back pain. Also consider adding two more pillows. Would be nice to have some basic body wash in the shower. Did provide hand soap. Other than that, well equipped kitchen, comfortable, excellent lighting and communication with us was excellent and timely. It was all in Portuguese so don’t know about English being spoken. Keep in mind you must have a vehicle, no sidewalks here but there are nice cafes nearby. "

"Excellent hotel matched by value for money. It is fairly new, well managed and cared for. Located in a central place in Santo Tirso itself. First impressions make you think the bed will be squeaky and it can be a little but the mattress is extremely comfortable. A great night sleep. The rooms are a good size, well looked after with a great shower. There is also a useful mini fridge in the room. Staff are always polite and helpful. I don’t usually choose the breakfast option as I prefer to go to the supermarket and have my own choices in my room. Very happy every stay time i stay in this hotel. "
