Gulf Front, North Cape San Blas, Pet Friendly ~ Sun Chaser

Sun Chaser is a gulf front, 4 bedroom single family home located on the North End of Cape San Blas, just passed the rock wall. The location is ideal for anyone coming on vacation as it is directly beach front, but very near a kayak launch into the St. Joseph Bay as well as the conveniences of Scallop Cove’s General Store, Beach Rentals and Bait & Tackle Shop. Jump on the bike path across the street from the house and you can explore the length of the peninsula up close and personally.
This home is pet friendly and comes complete with a gate on the gulf front deck allowing you to have easy access to the beach while keeping it safe for little children and pets. The gulf front deck is quite roomy and has beautiful views of the beach and water. You can almost reach out and touch it.
Inside the home the main level is an open area concept and there are also two bedrooms on this level, one with great views of the Bay. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms allowing everyone to spread out and feel comfortable. Get the whole group together and make plans to visit Sun Chaser on Cape San Blas.
Floor Plan: ground level-covered, paved parking and outdoor shower. 1st level – gulf front living room with access to furnished deck, TV, blu-Ray, VCR and sleeper sofa; kitchen, dining area, full bath with shower only, laundry closet, Bedroom 1 with queen bed and TV; and Bedroom 2 with king bed, walk-in closet, TV and full bath with shower/tub combo. 2nd level – Bedroom 3 with queen bed, single day bed and TV; full bath with shower/tub combo and Bedroom 4 – gulf front bedroom with king bed, TV and gulf front deck. **Pet friendly, max quantity and type required; additional fees apply** *We LOVE Snowbirds! Low Monthly Winter Rates* Snowbird Season runs November thru February, on a monthly basis. Great location. Has some issues with the maintenance. The home sewage drain leaks out onto the carport. Place was generally not clean. Had issues with the door unlocking (PM provided a key).

Fun in the sun family vacation

We had a great time. House being right on the beach is so nice and relaxing also convenient with small kids. House is nice and cozy for us to spend family time together. The area is great with lots of restaurants close by.

Perfect Rental!

This property had everything we were looking for - steps from the beach, large deck facing the sunset, pet-friendly, and king bedroom on the gulf side. In addition, it has really comfortable den sofas & beds. We didn't cook in much but the kitchen seems well-appointed if you wanted to. I did love that it had a coffee maker and a Keurig - so perfect for morning coffee & evening decaf. It is an older house, so it comes with some of the wear & tear you'd expect, but nothing detracted from our stay. We had never stayed this far south on CSB and really enjoyed the location. We enjoy biking & it was convenient to go in either direction. Sun Chaser was more house than what we really needed for just the two of us plus our two pups, but it was worth it! The layout (two king bedrooms + two extra) would be perfect for two couples or two families. We would definitely stay here again. Also 5 STARS for Pristine Properties management. We had an issue with the front door one night as we were leaving for dinner & it was fixed before we got home. And, someone came the next day to check to make sure all was good. Couldn't ask for better service than that.

Perfect Location

The house is right on the beach and located in a perfect area. We were there for Spring Break and the beach in front of the house was practically empty. The view from the deck is amazing. It is also close enough to walk to the Cape Trading Post/Ice cream. Some items to note though: The bathrooms and bedroom furniture are very outdated. As the listings says, bring everything! You are given 1 roll of tp for each bathroom, 1 bag of dish detergent, 1 trash bag, no shampoo, no basic cooking ingredients, no beach toys, etc.

issues that need to be addressed.

The location was great. Listened to the surf at night with an open patio door on the top floor. The house was clean. The deck was a mess. really needs a lot of work. Got several splinters off the stair rails while going up and down the steps. Some of the steps seems "soft" and should be replaced. I contacted Pristine Properties about not having enough flatware. There were only 5 forks and only tablespoons, no teaspoons. The did stop by with some of each the next day but no communication about coming. They came when we were out and left them in the house. We had dogs that fortunately were kenneled but I imagine they were quite frightened and noisy. We were not aware that there was construction going on at one of the neighboring homes. It was pretty noisy a couple of days. I notified them there was a strip of wood in one of the bedroom thresholds and they did not address that. So, if they fixed up the deck and improved their communications, I would certainly stay at this house again.

Perfect beachfront home

We loved this place. It was super clean, including the windows to see the incredible view. Easy check in/check out. The location was terrific (beach front) and close to local shops and restaurants. We could not have asked for a better place and hope it is available on our next trip.

Can't beat this location!

Loved the size of the property and the location. Needs some tlc and a few updates, but overall can't beat this wonderful property. Take EVERYTHING you need toilet paper, paper towels and any cleaning products. Extra towels and sheets. Salt, pepper anything you will need.

Great Beach & Gulf Views

We had a great time staying at Sun Chaser.The location, beach and views are a 5. Right on the gulf with sunset views. Good house layout, including upstairs bedroom with gulf view. House has new sliding glass doors. Even better if glass was clean. Good mix of pots and pans and appliances. Not enough silverware, glasses or bowls. Check the list of items the renter needs to bring. It's quite long, including TP and garbage bags after the initial ONE is used up. Beach chairs can be rented. House could use some general updating and a new bed in the 1st floor master. Rental agency was quick to respond to our questions and problems.

If You're Desperate

This was our second time staying at this property. It's been over a year since our last stay and I was sure the extremely hard to open sliding glass doors (all three) would have been fixed since our last visit. They haven't. It's almost impossible to open any of them. Not to mention, they were extremely dirty - the glass and tracks. It rained the entire four days we were at this property, starting before we got there. When we walked in the house, both sliding glass doors on the main level were leaking and there were HUGE puddles on the floor. The master bedroom upstairs has a sliding glass door too and it leaked as well. All of the carpet between the bed and door was soaked. I notified the property managers immediately and received no response the entire time we were there and no one showed up to fix it. We had to clean up puddles the whole four days. The floors on the main level had sand everywhere. The king bed in the master suite downstairs squeaks so bad. Everyone in the house can hear every move you make when getting in or out of bed or even just turning over. The guests in that room stated it was extremely uncomfortable. Same with the pull out couch and double bed upstairs. There isn't enough silverware and dishes for everyone to eat at once. It says it sleeps 11, which is the number of guests in our group. They do not supply enough towels, rags, etc either for the number of guests it's supposed to accommodate. They leave one dishwasher pod. You have to supply everything yourself, even toilet paper. There was a roll in every bathroom but it was really bad quality and wasn't full rolls. Be sure to bring your own laundry detergent, paper towels, dishwasher pods, tp, seasonings, etc. Definitely don't plan on cooking any elaborate meals. Pots and pans are limited. Upon checking out, I contacted the property managers again to inquire about cancelling our trip to this same property in October. After I sent four messages through VRBO, I reached out via email. I finally received a response but no apologies about the leaky doors we had to deal with. With four months left, they refuse to refund our deposit. That's plenty of time left for someone else to book. After spending the amount of money we did and not enjoying ourselves or the house and being frustrated with the property managers for lack of communication, we just don't want to visit again. We're being forced to come back or lose our $1000. Do yourself a favor and book a different property.

Home away from home!

I was impressed with the spaciousness of Sun Chaser, but I think the owner needs to do some updating, as there were several issues that could use some attention. The main issue is the sliding glass door going out to the deck. It is very hard to open. The maintenance guy was there when we arrived, and he said it could not be fixed, that it needs replacing. We ended up leaving it cracked and pulling the curtain over it. Also, the other glass panels are so messed up that you can't even see through them well. It would be so great if the owner would just replacle those messed up panels. The trim on the deck needs the chipping paint removed and repainted. Other than that, we had an awesome visit!! Housekeeping could have cleaned a little more thoroughly. The shower curtain in the master bath had mold around the botom, and the corners of the floors were dirty Other than that, Sun Chaser is a great place to stay.

Great Location

The property’s location can’t be beat - right on the beach, quiet, and adequate parking. The house itself was clean but could use some structural updates. By the central sliding door the floor boards had softened and sunken. And none of the sliding doors were easy to open - which we addressed and they came out to look at, but was concluded by the maintenance guy that its not an easy fix. We overlooked those details, because we were just staying a few days, but maybe the property owner will fix it soon. Overall, I would recommend this rental. The management team was very informative and quick to reply and help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A Walk On The Cape

Our time spent at the Cape was lovely. The home was very modern and clean with great decor. All the beautiful beach canvases throughout the home added a wonderful touch. The view and space are both spectacular. We had everything we needed and more!
