"Our experience with Holiday Inn Express and Suites was excellent! It was a birthday getaway and we were looking for something near Lavaca Bay. On the back side of the motel is the bay! We were fortunate enough to get a room with a bay view. This Holiday Inn is made for anyone wanting to enjoy an ocean view or fish from the bank of the hotel. It appeared to be very family friendly. We saw lots of families enjoying the swimming pool out back. And others were BBQing under a small gazebo and fishing. The breakfast area has a great view of the bay as well and appears to have an outdoor balcony where you can sit and enjoy the views. The young lady that checked us in on Sat. Aug. 8 was super friendly and welcoming. She answered any questions we had. Our room was clean and smelled clean and even had mood lighting. The breakfast they served was EXCELLENT! Everything looked and tasted delicious. We had the biscuits with gravy. We highly recommend it. This holiday Inn Express will be our go to when in Port Lavaca. Thank you for such a wonderful and relaxing stay. We felt at home. Highly recommend a stay here."

"Overall a great place to stay and it was fun. Really the only negative I have is a travel trailers exposed in this heat, the 2 ac's just can't keep up. We will definitely be back but not in July!"
