"The location was excellent, within easy reach, of pubs and beach and local shops. I loved that everything was independently run and was to a high quality. The house has two kayaks which is fun and a beautiful garden which we enjoyed playing cards around the table. The kitchen was well equipped and had extra supplies, tea/ salt/ pepper/ butter/ milk etc. Although there is a spar shop very close so it doesn’t matter if you forget anything. Will definitely be returning."

"In a word: wonderful. Situated directly on the esplanade, the house (which, by the way, has moved a few doors down from the Westcroft property) has sea and beach views that keep you relaxed and entertained in equal measure. Sarah, the hostess, is welcoming, personable and helpful, and she readily shares her encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. We enjoyed National Trust properties, stunning local walks and unspoiled places to swim. Breakfast, with gourmet touches, is beautifully presented and really delicious. Sarah's slow-roasted tomatoes were a huge hit. Our bedroom and ensuite were cocooning and charming, with views over the delightful courtyard garden (other rooms have stunning sea views). The house is beautifully decorated with antique furniture and paintings. If you tire of sightseeing, the guest snug offers old-world comfort and charm as well as a sea view. The pretty twin villages have a café/bakery, a well-stocked village shop and several pubs offering food. We dined at the Devonport Inn, where the fresh fish is cooked to perfection. The very narrow streets and walkways mean that everything is just a short walk away. You can leave your car in the central car park and step back in time."

"Nach schöner Anfahrt von Folkstone wurden wir von der Gastgeberin herzlich empfangen.Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern im Buchungssystem. Sauber , aufgeräumt und sehr schön und Stil voll eingerichtet. Zum Empfang gab es eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit. ( selbst gebackenes Brot und typisch englischen Kuchen ,lecker)Wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung sind mit dem Auto zu erreichen un der schöne Strand ist auch nicht weit.GRÜSSE NACH ST JOHN"
