"We stayed in November 2024 for the first time. We came back in April 2026 to a totally different hotel it seems. We booked exactly the same type of room. We paid $555 for 2 nights, which is not EXACTLY CHEAP. The room stank of cheap toilet cleaner the entire time. Impossible to breathe. My husband and son are both very sensitive to any type of smell. The bathroom was tiny and with rusty detailing. No spacious studio, no step in shower, as it was clearly pointed out in the description (with photos). The carpeting was disgusting to even look at, let alone step onto. A lot of water damage in the bathroom from up top. NO air whatsoever. I woke up the first night because I was literally suffocating. The breakfast was not up to par to say the least. The couch was impossible to sit on. It felt as if we were landing on the floor each time. The chair was also all stained and obviously filthy. And there was no cleaning of the room at noon. As I said, it is a totally different place we returned to. On top of it, When I came to the kitchen at 4 am someone was yanking our door handle. They came back in 45 minutes again and yanked it again. Also, it looked like someone was trying to get into our car at night through the trunk. Never again. Disappointed. I wish I could get refunded for all this unpleasantness. Photo evidence attached. "

"Showers barely worked. Censures were down. Restaurant was not open the entire time we were there. Room was not what was showing in pictures. Check in staff was very rude. Location is ok but not walkable to anything. Nowhere to eat over the bridge as every restaurant only seats about 20 ppl. "

Our hosts were great we wanted for nothing, everything we needed was there plus our hosts even had fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and breakfast variety of food in the fridge for us. The cottage is very nice, has everything you could want and very clean. Great outdoor screened in porch to sit day or evening. And yes we were close to any and everything we needed to be!!"

The house is very spacious with plenty of room, in a great location close to shopping, and situated in a nice neighborhood. It has become our go to rental when visiting our son in Wilmington, and we are already looking forward to our next stay."
