"This is a beautiful former monastery high up above Monterosso. You need to contact the hotel in advance to make a shuttle reservation and they will pick you up near the train station. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. Most of the other guests were hikers from the trail between towns. We sat outside at sunset with a glass of wine, admiring the beautiful view. While there’s no Wi-Fi or AC in the rooms in the main building, it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. There were large windows we opened to let in the breeze. We stayed with our college age kids who loved the location."

"The room (Mastrale) was exceptional. It was perfect for a couple. The view was beyond compare from the large terrace. It is clean, well cared for. "We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Argentina. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The directions provided prior to our arrival were helpful and guided us to two elevators. The room had an immaculate view of Riomaggiore and a small balcony! The air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool. The shower was on the smaller side for my husband, who is very tall (6’4”). We would definitely stay here again—we only wish we had stayed longer!"
