"We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and relaxing family-run hotel! Ana Isabel and her staff are so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The grounds and gardens are absolutely stunning, and the pool was such a treat to come back to after a long day traveling around the island. "It’s a beautiful setting in the garden. The home is roomy and cozy, it has everything you need. It had a musty smell which is typical, I kept the windows open always which got rid of the smell. Windows have screens which is much appreciated! It is below another apartment so you do hear some footsteps and noise. This is why I didn’t give it full stars. You can sometimes hear dogs and loud cars in the distance but it’s not too bothersome."

"The house is super clean and the host provided so much great information on the area. Warm welcome included bread, cheese, milk and yogurt. Aside from an occasional crowing rooster, the surrounding village is cute and quiet. No hesitation in recommending this place!"

The house gave us a feeling of traditional, rural Azorean countryside living - Complete with cows and a lovely little horse in the pastures beyond.
