Unless you have a lot of money the immediate area may not be the place for you to shop. Löhrstrasse is only a few minutes walk and the shopping there is endless, without vehicular traffic, and you can find real bargains there. "Unser Aufenthalt in Koblenz war leider durch den Busfahrerstreik etwas mühsam. Dennoch haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten viel Spaß. Die Wohnung war grundsätzlich super, nur das Sofa lässt wirklich zu wünschen übrig. Ich musste meine Abende auf dem Stuhl verbringen, weil ich Angst hatte mir den Rücken zu schädigen. Noch ein kleiner Tipp, größere Kaffeetassen mit Henkel wären prima!"

"This is a light and comfortable apartment with good views of the castle and vines from the seating area outside. Large bed and two wonderful showers! The kitchen was well equipped for self catering with saucepans, cooking utensils, coffee maker, kettle etc. A few more mugs and glasses would be useful. We had a very relaxing stay here in Alken and are hoping to return next year."
