"This is not such paradise. Don't be deceived by the owner who misrepresents this place in the description and photos. For example, the owner doesn't disclose that this place lacks proper restrooms, and that it's next to one of the most polluted areas in Colombia -because of the brick's industries next to the property that pollute the air all day and night :(
On top of that, the owner double-booked our room and we ended-up with no hotel."
"No me respetaron la reserva. A pesar de que en Hoteles.com ofrecían pagar en el alojamiento me contactaron sugiriéndome consignar antes. Al final no viaje al hotel. Ya no podía confiar en el sitio. "

"I had a short layover in Bogotá and wanted to spend it in a calm, natural setting just outside the city. Staying at Laguna de Guatavita was an absolutely spectacular experience. The cabin is nestled in lush greenery, offering total peace and quiet—yet it's surprisingly easy to get in and out of Bogotá, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle without feeling remote.
The accommodation strikes a rare and wonderful balance: high-standard amenities in a traditional, nature-filled environment. Everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay was thoughtfully provided.
One of the true highlights of the experience was meeting Jorge. He’s an outstanding host—fully fluent in English and German, incredibly well-travelled, and deeply passionate about Colombia and his home city. His affinity for healthy living, yoga, mindful eating, and life coaching made our conversations all the more meaningful and enriching. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that he offers private tours of Bogotá and the surrounding areas, which I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting a more personal, in-depth experience of the region.
Whether you're a visitor or a local looking for a quiet retreat, I recommend this property without any hesitation."
Luxury House with gorgeous Lake views and dock access on 11 acres.
10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we walked in, we knew this home was something special. It truly felt like a vacation, every detail was designed with care and relaxation in mind. The view from the living room looks like a watercolor painting and immediately sets the tone for rest and connection. The house has everything for a family to unplug and enjoy each other. My kids didn’t use screens once! We played games (provided), laughed, and made real memories.Melba, who cares for the home, is a treasure. She’s attentive without being intrusive, makes amazing coffee, and her meals were better than most restaurants. She even cooked special dishes for my picky 3-year-old and set the table beautifully, making each meal feel like a celebration. The home is spotless and even better than the photos. Soft linens, cozy beds, blackout curtains for sleeping in and even a hidden gem: a small gym overlooking the lake that’s not in the listing! Every room has a stunning view, so staying in was just as special as going out.One of my favorite memories was playing the record player and watching the sunset with my husband, wine in hand. This stay set a new standard for us. We left recharged and can’t wait to return."
"Everything was ok.
However, kitchen close early and there are no options for a midnight snack.
There were plenty of options for breakfast but they were cold and had to constantly asking food availability."
