"Great hotel, great value for money, helpful and friendly staff. Located around a 20 minute walk to many of the main attractions or there is a metro station a couple of minutes away that will get you to the sights quickly and cheaply. Room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We used this as a base for a family trip to explore Rome, worth every penny."

"Loved, loved, loved this place. It felt like family and staff took care of us like family. Nice older building, wonderful breakfasts on the balcony. Walk in one direction from hotel it’s messy, walk any other direction and it’s nice - plenty of dining options as well as a farmers market and laundry near by. Out of a score from 1-10, I give the Athena Hotel and staff a 20❤️❤️"

"Lovely stay, fantastic hosts. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Rome. Metro is just around the corner, so very easy to get into central Rome. Just my preference, so don't let this put you off, too much sweet stuff for breakfast, and would like to have toast rather than bread or croissant."
