"I am a bit biased as this chateau was the home of one of my ancestors in the 16th century. I took my 85 year old father there with other members of our family for about a week. It was an excellent base for our side trips to Poitiers, Tours and La Rochelle. In several rooms, here are copies of a well researched book (in French) telling the amazing history of the chateau. "The castle is beautiful, located in a charming little village. The room was clean, quiet, bed comfortable. It has a relatively small bathroom with small shower located in a corner. The toilets are separated to the right of the fire place. We did not eat at the restaurant because we were not hungry enough. The menu only offered expensive choices. No coffee machine or mini fridge in the room. "

"Tired and needs decorating not like the picture shows No basin in the toilet can’t wash your hands unless you walk around the bedroom to the shower room. "

Stephane met our early arrivals to let them in and the whole party of 24 - great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins all enjoyed the lovely pool and grounds- with plenty of space for cricket, badminton and board games. Stephane was very helpful when the dishwasher didn’t work- coming up to replace it immediately. We had wonderful weather and really enjoyed Kayaking in Lusignan. We would love to return"

"This is such a beautiful home. It is located in a quiet area close to the center of Poitiers. The house is very large, so there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Phillipe is such a wonderful host. He was so incredibly kind and generous with his time. He drove all the way from Paris to meet us. We arrived early, so he had a friend meet us at the house to make sure we were able to get in. We had so much fun getting to know Phillipe. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely...
