"We enjoyed this clean, cozy little house for 4 nights in June this year. It reminded me of a funky, retro-style beach house like your grandparents might have had after they retired, where you spent your summers as a kid...... It even had an old-school Scrabble game from the 60s or 70s. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, it is walking distance and driving distance to the beach, walking trails, restaurants and shops. The neighbors we met were friendly, but not nosy, and we enjoyed walks through the neighborhood with our dogs a couple times every day. The house itself was well-equipped with appliances, cooking utensils and cleaning supplies, so it was very easy to get settled in. While it is on the smaller side, it is perfect for a couple and a child or two. The outside deck is huge and has a wide, elevated view of Birch Bay looking to the north and northwest. All-in-all, it provided us a relaxing getaway with an awesome view and the opportunity to try new restaurants. The property host was very responsive and helpful prior to our stay and after our stay, and we have already talked about going back this year for another visit."
