"We initially had some difficulties finding the villa, probably just not trusting the sat nav but a quick phone call to Vlado reassured us that we were on the right road. On arrival Vlado then showed us round his family holiday home and he and his villa typify the Spanish saying "mi casa es tu casa". The villa is spotlessly clean and also stays cool needing only a quick blast of the aircon in the bedroom at night on a week when the temperatures were in the low 30's. The villa is a little further from the coast than we perceived but in reality it is 7 minutes drive to Podgora beach. The plus side of this is equally it is very quiet. You'll get the odd hiker passing by on one of the network of hiker trails but apart from that the only noise is from the swallows flying around the property.A few quick recommendations; take the ferry from Drvenik to Hvar, about 4 each way as a foot passenger. Lovely and quiet, take the car to explore further.The restaurant at Hotel Medora on the beach does lovely food and has a nice friendly atmosphere. Also there is a quaint little restaurant on the road to Dubrovnik called Borovik, he only takes cash though.Vlado left us to our own devices during the week but answered any questions quickly over text or whatsapp.We will be back to Croatia and would recommend Vlado's villa"

"We absolutely loved our stay in Croatia and Iva’s beautiful home was the perfect base camp for all we wanted to do during our trip. It was our first visit to Croatia and we did not know the country at all, so finding a centrally located place to stay was key. The Makarska Riviera was full of beautiful towns with incredible views, food, and places to explore. Iva’s home was spacious and very comfortable. Each of my three children had his or her own bedroom and bath, which made them all very happy! We were thrilled with the lovely pool and beautiful terraces and landscaping. And the town of Podgora was either a quick hike down the hillside or ride in the car. There were so many great recommendations for dining and close-by activities, all provided by Iva. Thank you for an amazing first trip to Croatia! We hope to be back soon. "

"The villa is super clean with all the comforts of home! Bedding and linen as good as a 5* hotel. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook anything. The bathrooms are modern and clean ,perfect . Manuela greeted us , showed us the property and also had a lovely platter of meat, cheese and fresh bread abd lical wine on arrival..so nice after a few hours of driving . The pool is clean and well maintained. The villa is located higher up so a car is necessary if you want to eat out. Manuela offered us parking at her property that helped alot as parking can be difficult beachfront and there is taxis available to take back up. We loved our stay . Communication was excellent. They even offered to deliver us a pizza when we were trying to find pizza delivery. One of the best villas we have ever stayed at! Thank you!"

"We had the best time at Villa Lavanda! This home is fabulous and has been meticulously renovated - it felt so special to stay here; a true Dalmatian gem! Manuela was a lovely host, super attentive and friendly. She set up a baby crib for our daughter and was always available via text. Highlights: AMAZING POOL and Garden, very large comfortable bedrooms, 5 min drive to Podgora beaches, gorgeous sunsets and unreal views of Croatia from any of the FIVE balconies. I hope I can stay here again some day in the future!"
