"Very nice accommodations with uniquely beautiful rooms in this converted mill, Comfortable beds and quiet for sleeping. It felt clean, but with the very high ceilings I think it is difficult to dust. I took one star off because the exposed light bulbs in the bathroom appeared dusty."

"Everything we needed for a great vacation. A great view, clean home and access to games and water sports (kayaks, paddle boards). Plenty of firewood provided with your own solo stove and grill. Property was great but good to note that you are very close to other guests. Clean, quiet lake great to listen to the loons. Sandy beach and docks were great too."

"Very nice motel. The staff was great. Cookies and popcorn available on arrival. Very nice breakfast. Applebee's right beside it. TV had a sleep timer!!!! No complaints. We were in a ADA room which was nice although we didn't require that room. If we had, the only complaint that I would have is the hooks in the bathroom were too high. Really nice motel."

"It was all that we hoped for. Amazing modern cabin with perfect furniture and accessories. We spent a lot of time on the deck down at the beach that had nice furniture on it. Water is crystal clear. Had a nice fire in the pit down by the beach. The beach is amazing soft clean sand.There is nothing we needed it was all there. Thank you for an amazing weekend."

Spectacular Lakefront Retreat on 2 acres~ Perfect Large Family Getaway

"Shady Nook was the perfect home and location for our bi-annual family reunion. Our group of 26 included ages 10 months to 83. We were all very comfortable and even had empty beds! Shady Nook feels more like borrowing a friends house than a rental. The kitchen was very well stocked and even included many of the spices that we needed. The back porch is amazing and became our favorite hang out spot.We used the loft over the garage for two families with small children for the quiet. The loft does have a kitchenette, toilet and sink and there is a full bathroom in the garage convenient for showering. There are three bedrooms on the main floor which was great for our less mobile family members.We had not visited Pickerel Lake before and were shocked by how clear and clean it was. We rented a pontoon and took many trips around the lake. There was also a fishing group that had very good luck every time they went. Having access to tons of inflatables and yard games kept us all busy. We spent hours floating on the maui mat. Perfect place for large groups!"
