"This was my third stay at Cesar Lanzarote in three years, and this stay, likes the others, did not disappoint. The hotel is in such a lovely quite setting, and all of the guests have plenty of space to do what they would like to do, despite the hotel itself not having that may rooms. All of the staff are charming, and it is so nice that some of them remembered me from last year, including the general manager, who was so warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back."

"Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The all inclusive premium was great and offered a really good selection of popular drinks and nice food options. Our room was lovely and we really enjoyed the swim up pool but some areas felt like were getting tired and floor tiles were starting to crack in places. We really enjoyed the different restaurants, Oceana especially, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. We really enjoyed Portofino’s breakfast options but felt we were let down during evening service a couple of times and had to follow up with drinks (food came before drinks) and deserts were missed after ordering. It did feel like some restaurants and bars (with our stay being at the beginning October) were running on lower staff numbers, the waiters and waitresses on hand were doing a lot of running around and working exceptionally hard but we couldn’t help but think another 1 or 2 members of staff in each area would really help the existing staff and guests have a better experience. We enjoyed the spa but only visited once due it to being an additional charge to the all inclusive premium. We made use of the padel court and gym (at no extra cost) which were great. Location was lovely too for coastal walks / running and easy access to the port."

"The whole process has been faultless, the Serena Villa staff have been very helpful and communication has been excellent. When we arrived at the villa it was dark, it was easy to find and the parking space directly outside the villa was great, and the villa numbers are illuminated. In entering the villa, the cool air conditioning was welcoming. The villa itself is amazingly clean and comfortable, with some hidden and unknown areas, like the third floor subtract with sunlounger and table with false lawn covered flooring, accessed by a spiral staircase from the main bedroom, along with a seated/small table area overlooking the pool. This villa was absolutely beautiful inside and out, the photos don’t do it justice, and the kitchen and utility room is well stocked with everything you need. There is an Aldi 7 minutes drive away, there is a closer supermarket if preferred. The villa is situated close enough, but far enough away, we had a hire car from Top Car, which we toured the whole island. We will definitely be back."

Kitchen fridge / freezer works well and is quite large.Nice hot water from electric water heater.Plenty of wardrobe storage space in each room.Pool cleaned and attended to.Plenty of bath and hand towels changed frequently.Cons (all our own opinions)The outlook is to the back of the Costa Calero hotel when your sat at the outside table. No real sea view.Unfinished Building works and a rubbish tip directly in front of you which you can over look from your outside seating area. Not mentioned in villa description.For the money paid for this villa, you’d expect better quality furnishings. No cushions in lounge. One pool umbrella even though I specifically emailed and asked prior to arriving. I was assured there is plenty for three people. The villa is very dull and gloomy inside generally.No nonslip bath mat provided when stood in the en-suite bath having a shower. Older folks beware. Some of the glasses in the kitchen were stained.Could do with a trip to Ikea and replace missing cups, saucers, dishes. Very sparse.No WiFi signal in the rear bedrooms of the villa. No natural daylight or ventilation in the shared bathroom. Nothing in the villa, no coffee, tea, salt, vinegar, dishcloths, clothes pegs ! We had to buy everything."

"From the beginning the contact with the host was excellent, check in process was well explained and no hassles.The location is a bit out of the way as we knew and we had a hire car which made getting to and from places nice and easy with Puerto Del Carmen only a short drive away and Puerto Calero nearby also with various shops within a 5/10 minute drive. The local taxis refuse to leave the tarmac roads, so if you wish to go out for a dinner and drink etc then a taxi will only take you as far as the end of the road then a 10/15 minute walk to the villa. This wasn’t ideal as we had someone in our group with disability and couldn’t walk that far.The villa is very nice and spacious. Most areas are clean and well kept although some areas look a bit neglected around the property and could do with a bit of a tidy up and attention just to finish it off. But generally it is nice and clean. The pool is a great addition and was a nice temperature throughout our stay. There is plenty of outdoor seating and sunbeds for everyone to use although the sunbeds could benefit from a deep clean or renewal. If you are afraid of small lizards or cockroaches then I would not recommend staying here. Lizards frequently come out in the villa at night and we woke up each morning to a few cockroaches inside the villa and out in the garden area. If you are looking for somewhere to stay and generally not leave during your holiday then this villa is perfect. Overall we would stay again. "
