"Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the breakfast staff stood around talking in Spanish, as if they didn't have enough to keep themselves busy. One of the gals was following the other like a lost puppy dog. Not sure if she actually belonged mingling in the breakfast area. If they want to close, they should start removing items which would be a good clue that the breakfast area is closed. Also lacked signage regarding the hours."

"We loved our stay at the Kahler Inn and Suites in Rochester! It was so convenient to walk across the street to Mayo and access all the buildings by the subway level and not wait 30-45 minutes for hotel shuttles for other Rochester hotels. The 2 bed queen suite was nice and clean, and perfect for our group of 4. There was lots of room with the separate living area with a convertible sofa, chair, and kitchenette with seating area. The breakfast was outstanding! This was our 2nd time to stay here. We wouldn't stay anywhere else for a Mayo trip. This place is perfect and the staff do an excellent job."

"Superb location for our event at the olmsted county fairgrounds. Easy, convenient parking. Nice access to dining. Clean property, spacious room. The complimentary breakfast had a nice offering of both hot and cold items, and the staff were kind and helpful. Definitely recommend."

"Everyone and everything was the best as always. My daughter and I were here for her one year heart transplant check up at the Mayo Clinic and as usual we stayed at the Aspen our home away from home. Thank you so much Colton and all of the staff for another wonderful stay."
Big River Escape Riverside Cabins

"Great experience. Traveling with my husband to visit the area and do hikes. Nice location and cozy cute cabins! Owner is super helpful and kind. Minor hiccup at check-in due to booking through Expedia - Expedia doesn't share any info with the owner of the property and the email for my self check-in wasn't sent. I called the owner and he called right back after a few minutes and was able to give me all the instructions I needed. He even gave me some hiking recommendations. Later, the water wasn't getting hot in our cabin. I texted the owner and he came to check things out right away. He informed us that sadly, the water heater was going to need repairs. He upgraded us to another cabin that was actually bigger and very nice - the one we were in was also so cozy and lovely. Thankfully, our stay was uneventful (in the best way) from there on out! Cabins are very clean, cozy and have everything you need to cook food if you choose! Not far away from nice hikes in Winona or Alma. Oh and it's near the water too with a dock if you're into that. 😁 Owner is extremely kind, accommodating and hospitable. Highly recommend."
