"Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. "Perfect location, their is a supermarket just next door. The saff is very helpfull and friendly. The only thing I would add is a place to unpack your clothes. The property has no storing nor hangers for your clothes. In the bathroom there are no towel hooks which could be nice to have. The toiletries could have more comfortable dispensers and not just small wooden cups"

"This is an excellent resort in a good location. The staff are excellent, always a smile and a kind word. Our 2bedroom villa was large with a full kitchen and indoor laundry. You can order meals and have them in your villa, on your deck, at the pool, or on the pier which makes mealtime extra special. We highly recommend the resort as well as the snorkel and Monkey River excursions"

"My family and I enjoyed our short stay in the Namaste apartment at the Belizean Nirvana in Placencia. The apartment was larger than expected with a beautiful veranda overlooking the ocean. When I was researching accommodations, the Belizean Nirvana was one of the few that offered breakfast, which was a plus given that my husband and I traveled with our teen and tween. The hotel was central to all of the restaurants and shops on the island. Barbara and Evan were wonderful and available if we needed them."

"We had a great stay! The house was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and well-equipped for groups or families. We especially appreciated the large tables, games, and thoughtful touches that made it ideal for spending time together. The beach was absolutely beautiful, though worth noting that it’s not ideal for swimming. The staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. That said, in the future, we’d likely pass on the additional services (the house has chef, housekeeper, maintenance, and grounds keeper) it was a bit disruptive to have someone around so often, especially when we were hoping for a more private, romantic experience. Overall, a lovely spot for a relaxing group getaway!"

"I had a delightful experience at Ocean Breeze! We were greeted with a lovely sign out front and the AC was running in our room. The front desk associate was gracious in accommodating our request for an early check in when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. The room was meticulously, cleaned and appointed well with coffee cups and plates. Our room looked out toward the ocean and the pool was directly below. We also had great drinks and good service at the bar. I would certainly return and highly recommend this resort."
