"The resort itself is amazing. The property is very beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens and the restaurant, bar and rooms are well appointed and very clean. The gentleman at check-in though did not provide much of a warm welcome. We had just driven from Lima and had an encounter with corrupt cops on the way...

"The host is great and property is nice. The problem is that despite the map and listing clearly listing it in Paracas, it is located in Pisco, 20 minutes from where the map indicates it is. Also, it's renting out rooms and not the house (which is not what I have experienced with VRBO listings before), so we had a lot of slamming doors from the other guests for a lot of our first night."

The gentleman at check-in though did not provide much of a warm welcome. We had just driven from Lima and had an encounter with corrupt cops on the way there, so arrived to the resort a bit shaken up, and the person checking us in went straight into fees and costs without even asking asking us how we were doing, how were our travels etc.. not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Otherwise everything was great."
