"Our stay at Bear Claw Cove in Pipestem, WV was excellent. The cabin was very clean, had spacious parking, and the hot tub and fire pit were perfect touches. You can tell the owner put a lot of love into the cozy bear-themed decor. I loved that they were pet friendly! Our dog loved it. The location is fantastic with beautiful mountain scenery and plenty to do nearby including golf, the mountain coaster, trap shooting, zip lining, and even kayaks provided by the host. The place exceeded our expectations and we’d definitely stay again."

"Room didn’t look anything like the picture. Plain gray room with cement walls. No pictures hanging. Floor was extremely dirty. We were traveling with an 11 month old and after being in the car all day I let her crawl around for a few minutes in the room. Within minutes her pants and feet were almost black. No bathtub which was showed in photos. We were put in a joining room next to a room that had 5 grown men yelling at each other and slamming doors. Also they advertised free breakfast but at check in they said it was just a granola bar and coffee. We only stayed 15 then booked the Hampton next door which was much better"

"Anita did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome to her family home. The lovely 50’s theme made for fun discussion and learning about history with our kids as well showcased the beautiful history and memories of the house. We loved the thoughtful treats left for our arrival and very much enjoyed the space, live plants, friendly cat named Elvis, deer in the backyard, and close proximity to parks and the mountain coaster. We stayed as a half way point from Ohio to Myrtle Beach and would definitely stay again if we were to travel this way in the future. Thank you!"

"Our first impression of the property was not good. There is a dilapidated trailer in the yard as you pull in. The grass was knee high. The septic tank out back is exposed, barb wire laying around in the yard, it was very unsettling. Upon entry to the house, it was better than outside but really not worth what we paid. The house has potential however it needs a lot of work! Also no propane tank for the fire pit. Overall stay was disappointing."
