"Our group of 8 had a fantastic June weekend getaway. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains and trees were stunning. The long back porch was our main hangout. Didn't even leave the property, it was so relaxing! The home was clean and very accommodating. Kitchen worked very well. Beds were comfy. Just as advertised. It’s located away from the weekend crowds in Julian, but close to wineries, cideries, and hiking/biking/horsing trails. "I needed a place to process the final stages of my divorce, and the Magical Retreat was just what I needed. The energy of the place is filled with love, it’s vibrant, and has lots of natural light with the numerous windows. Beautifully decorated with positive messages throughout. The outdoor space was amazing with cute fairy doors, a labyrinth, and more. Jill accommodated my request to extend my stay. I will definitely be going back this summer."

"Instruction from the owner were very clear and simple. It’s important to understand and respect this location and the fire hazards. The cabin was beautiful and what we were looking for, but the view was by far the best part. Parking was a little tricky if you have guests so I would recommend reading the parking instructions carefully, but it’s understandable considering the location. Thank you for a great stay!"
