The apartment is spacious and has views over Papeete and the harbour at the front and overlooks the pool and well kept grounds from the bedroom balcony at the rear. The kitchen is functional and has all the basic equipment for cooking, although it could do with some additional pots etc. The front covered balcony has a dining table and outdoor set for relaxing while enjoying the views. "Un appartement au design superbe et de qualité. Tout est parfaitement soigné et étudié avec soin pour une détente maximale. Les couchers de soleil sur la mer depuis la très grande terrasse sont absolument magnifiques. Le jacuzzi est très bien integré à la terrasse et permet une détente en toute discrétion. Boutique Hotel Kon Tiki Tahiti

10/10 Excellent

"We spent a total of 6 nights at the Kon Tiki before and after a cruise. On first arriving in the middle of the night there was a mix-up with our room category which the reception staff could not fix without the manager's approval. Instead of an ocean front room we were given a room at the back with a view over a container depot. This was not the fault of the hotel but Expedia who provided incorrect information about our booking. Upon speaking to the manager the following day we were moved to a very nice room with a view over the harbour. The manager was extremely helpful and rectified the problem promptly. On our return to the hotel following the cruise we were treated to a free buffet breakfast which we assume was by way of compensation for the mix-up. We ate almost all our meals either in the cafe on the ground floor or at the restaurant on the 7th floor. The cafe was delightful and provided high quality light meals and good coffee. We enjoyed nightly drinks on the terrace outside the restaurant and excellent food from the tapas menu. The restaurant manager was very charming and helpful. All hotel staff were excellent. The hotel is opposite the ferry terminal, and it is a short walk to the shipping terminal from where our cruise departed. The immediate vicinity of the hotel was a little underwhelming but we were able to walk to the market, a pharmacy and a supermarket. Any downside was more than compensated for by the excellent quality of the hotel and its convenience. "
