2 DAYS IN MONTICELLO 2018

The location inside the walled village of Monticello was superb. The landlady met us outside the general booking time due to flights and travel from Athens. The apartment was very roomy and well appointed. Breakfast supplies more than adequate for our 2 day stay. Parking in car park very handy to the apartment and good wifi.

Best part of my Italy trip. Kasia+Jarek were great

Imagine my horror when I get to the Alamo in Florence and realized I forgot my driver's license in the US. I wasn't allowed to rent a car, and I had two nights already booked in rural but beautiful Monticchiello. With a combination of trains and taxis I was able to make it to the Airbnb... frazzled, tired, and exhausted. That's when I met Kasia and Jarek, turning my trip around. Kasia and Jarek were working on their beautiful garden when I walked to the residence. You could tell they really care about the place. Jarek spoke English pretty well, which was very helpful in terms of communication. Kasia is quite the baker and had prepared a nice treat :) Jarek also helped me out by taking me to nearby Pienza where he helped me rent a power-assisted bicycle so I could get around the beautiful countryside without a car. This was a life saver, as without a car, you can't really experience all the Tuscan countryside has to offer. As for the actual location, it was really beautiful, well-arranged, and clean. The fridge was stocked with some food (including eggs). I would highly recommend staying here to everyone, and am definitely looking to plan a second trip back sometime! By the way, Jarek is also quite the photographer and offers photography classes! I took one :)

A Tuscan Gem

A beautiful apartment in the lovely town of Monticchiello; it was just perfect and views synonymous with Tuscany. I received a warm welcome by the host who gave suggestions about where to eat and what to see (took your advice and visited Pienza during Corpus Christi). A basket and fridge of goodies are provided for breakfast, along with tea/coffee/water. After a week of touring Tuscany this was our favourite accommodation.

Meravigliosa camera con vista sulla Val d Orcia a pochi km dai borghi medievali più suggestivi della zona. Completa di ogni confort e pulitissima, a gestirla é Ronald, simpatico cordiale e premuroso.

Beautiful Toscana

Ron and Deb were excellent hosts! Ron went above and beyond, helping us with our car issues. Accomodation was excellent and there was ample food for breakfast. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!!
