DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HOST! Poorly built apartment w/ hidden door on first floor, you can hear everything through wall. We felt unsafe and had to leave early. Pool was disgusting & covered in white silt. “Site manager" said sediment was overuse of a chemical put there by pool cleaner, assured us someone would vacuum it out. Never happened, we were never able to use the pool. Internet did not work on check-in. “Host” sent site manager to replace modem, proceeded to charge us 175 for "internet usage.” Also charged us additional fees for use of the laundry & pool, fees still remain on our VRBO account. Later accused us of backwashing pool equipment, despite site manager explanation of pool condition, that it was “almost black” when she began managing. Beds wrapped in plastic feel like sleeping on exam room bed. Kitchen poorly organized, old scratched Teflon pans. Door handles falling off, bad paint. Hair clogged sink drain in bathroom. Strange note about CCTV cameras in use on bedroom door. Rude & condescending entire time we tried to communicate issues. First time using VRBO, on another site we have flawless feedback record going back over a decade in multiple countries. Never had an incident like this with a vacation rental. Likely going to court to get fees removed & try to recover something from our ruined vacation. She's a slum-host, no idea what she's doing in the real estate business. She also changed the listing DURING our stay to fit her retaliatory narrative. DANGER!!
