Out in the far northeast corner of Scottsdale, the houses spread out, the saguaros take over, and plenty of neighbors keep horses of their own. Fallbrook fits right in. The home sits on an expansive desert property with open views in every direction and its own private horse stables, something you won't find on many vacation rentals.

Four bedrooms and three bathrooms sleep up to 12 guests, so a couple of families or a big group of friends can share the trip without anyone feeling squeezed. There's room inside to gather and room outside to wander off with a coffee and have the desert to yourself for a while.

Evenings are the main event. The mountains sit right on the horizon, and as the sun goes down they turn gold, then rose, then a deep blue while the desert goes quiet around you. Pull a chair outside and plan on staying there until the first stars show up.

Tonto National Forest starts just east of the property. The Verde River at Box Bar is roughly a 15-minute drive, with riverside trails, shady cottonwoods, and a spot to cool your feet in the water. Bartlett Lake is a little farther out for a day of boating or paddling. Head the other direction and you'll reach Brown's Ranch in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, one of the best trail networks in the Valley for hiking and mountain biking, along with Pinnacle Peak and the courses at Troon North.

When the group wants a slower day, the resort spas of north Scottsdale are about 20 minutes away and make an easy case for a massage and a long afternoon by the pool. Carefree, Cave Creek, and Fountain Hills are all within a half hour, and Old Town Scottsdale is close enough for a night out whenever you want the city back.

Then it's home to Fallbrook, where the sky does the rest.

- Please note this home has a fully working horse stable and there are daily workers on-site each day. They will not bother you or be on the premises of the home itself but will be on the 40 acres throughout the day. The stables are off-limits to guests. - Please be aware that the barn and the equipment around the barn are strictly off limits to guests.
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.
