Alpine Haus Philipsburg
Alpine Haus is Philipsburgs newest and most unique vacation rental. Originally built in 1888 as Philipsburgs first Post office Alpine Haus offers a different take on the traditional Vacation Rental. Modeled after the traditional Swiss Ski Chalet Alpine Haus hopes to capture the imagination of her guests as they come to experience the excitement which is Philipsburg. After over two years of renovations Alpine Haus is finally complete. She has come a long way as well, completely transformed from the shell she started out as into the cozy Loft she is now. The Photos show some of the painstaking labor which occured to bring Alpine Haus to where she is today. The Loft has two queen size beds, a Queen size pull out couch and large leather sofa which will accomodate an adult sleeper. The JØTUL wood burning stove will take the chill off the room as you settle in to your new temporary home. With limited dining options in Philipsburg it's nice to know that you have at your fingertips a very well appointed Kitchen complete with AGA six burner gas range and four ovens. Not to be outdone by the Kitchen the Bathroom boasts a very spacious walk in stone tiled shower as well as a Hammered copper Japanese soaking tub. If you're looking for a fun, unique place to bring the family, spend your wedding night, have a small get together, or just get out of town for the weekend look no further. At Alpine Haus we aim to please and we know you will enjoy your stay.

We spent the weekend hanging with family in town and his place was the perfect central location for doing so. It was very spacious for our family, and the kitchen was top-notch too. We loved our stay here!

This is a great place to stay especially if you are doing outdoor activities. It is easy to bring skiis and gear in and out. It is also friendly for pets.

I really like this place. It's funky, but well thought out. Once you get used to the nuances/idiosyncrasies it's very comfortable. The natural light and big windows facing south make for a very relaxing atmosphere in the winter time.

It was dirty, no A/c, too hot, toilet ran continuously, dishes were dirty. Had reservation for two nights and left after one night.

The Alpine Haus is pure "eclectic funk" and I mean that in the best sense. It takes a little bit to get used to regulating the temperature in the winter, but after the second day it was easy. Some unfortunate circumstances led to the place not being cleaned between guests. However, Josh made good on fixing the issue. I'm looking forward to another visit later this winter.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Alpine Haus. The town Philipsburg is a real hidden gem with lots to do and being less than 100 steps from a brewery that makes fantastic beer was an extra bonus! The Alpine Haus had everything and more you needed for a comfortable stay and was surprisingly quiet even though it was located on Main Street.

Wonderful! Took us a while to heat up the Japanese tub, but that was all part of the fun. We discussed how an on demand hot water heater could have improved fill time but in the end, we had a lot of fun filling it with boiling water from the stove while waiting for the hot water heater to reheat. We were bucket brigading from the stove! What a hoot! Great memories!

This is a gem! Great location as we fished during the day and could explore in the evenings. Cooked one night and a fabulous stove plus the kitchen has everything including a kitchen aide mixer! Enjoyed the Japanese soaking tub and just followed directions on how to use. Comfy beds and fans that kept us cool . Thank you!

The property was large, unique, well stocked, and a perfect location. The wood stove is a bonus, especially since we had rain and a cold front. We did use the Japanese soaking tub, but needed more hot water. Josh indicated that he was going to build steps and install an on demand heated water system, which would be much better. All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay.

Place was everything as advertised. It was a great, eclectic space that was close to everything that Phillipsburg has to offer. Josh was great to work with and check in/check out couldn’t have been easier! We are planning to come back and would recommend to anyone looking for a historic Montana town with lots of character and great people.

This place is nice but there's nitt much privacy. Some windows or doors don't have blinds or curtains. As far as cleanliness, I could write my name in the dust on the table. Thre soaking tub I wonderful but there's literally no steps at all to get in.. ... you have to climb in and out so be careful! Just would've been nice to know ahead if time.

It’s like staying in a mountain cabin in the middle of town! So nice to be able to walk to EVERYTHING! It is convenient, cozy and spacious! Josh, the owner is great to work with and always responsive. This was our second time staying here and it won’t be our last!
