"Great hotel "

"Room was very satisfactory. Super clean, nice modern bathroom. Large room. Only complaint was front desk staff. They were cold, indifferent, and honestly looked like they hated their jobs. Unusual to see folks doing a hospitality job that seemed to hate interfacing with the public. The gentleman, Paul who handled luggage was the only bright light. Super pleasant and nice. Not so at front desk on both occasions, when I dropped my bags and later when I checked in."

"This hotel USED to be our favorite but it's declining. The past two trips our valet experience has not been great. We pulled in and it's as if we didn't exist. We waiting by our car and tried to ask for help and then to our shock, they walked right past us and went to the guy who pulled in behind us. Delayed our check in and my husband has medical issues so standing for too long isn't great. The check in area and the restaurant are gorgeous. The rooms are always lacking in cleanliness. Last trip our floors were sticky and the carpet didnt appear to have been vacuumed. This trip, hair (little black hairs ON the tub) of course we didn't use it. Towels are old and scratchy. And just general lack of attention to cleaning...our tv had finger prints all over it, walls had splatter. It makes you feel like you can't take your shoes off. One note, last trip we set up room service for breakfast before we had to head to the hospital. It never came. We had to be all the front desk 3 times. It showed 2 mins before we had to be out the door. Honestly, we travel in for hospital appts at Penn and choose to stay near rittenhouse bc we have always loved it. It may be time to try some of the other hotels though bc Sofitel is not longer even a 4 star hotel in our opinion."

"I messaged them that I would have a very late check in and it was easy to check in when I arrived. I wish they would put a note somewhere that the lobby is not ground level but on the 3rd floor. I understand why they do this on the elevator but there has to be a more efficient way as the room key not always was detectable specially with luggage and kids in hand. Breakfast was good but messy not enough staff cleaning up behind people and also people not cleaning up after themselves. The room itself was clean and met our expectations."

"Pretty good stay overall! Host was gracious and very versatile! Extended our stay on very short notice. The neighborhood looked a little rough but everyone was very nice and the house was as described, it was just a shock when we arrived. Don't let the surrounding area turn you off! It was great to be so close to everything! Would stay again for sure! "
