Disappointing

Generally neglected feel to everything. TV didn't work, bedside light didn't work, bathroom door didn't fit, toilet flush was faulty. Breakfast was minimal but acceptable.

The first room (No. 20) that we were placed in was disgusting. There was black mould in one corner of the room, the bathroom door did not close as it was swollen with water, there were burn marks on the sink and half of the shower control was broken. This room should not be used in its present condition. However, after a quick chat with Expedia, we went down to reception and were given another room (no 55) this room was good although there were still burn marks on the sink and floor. Neither of the rooms were soundproofed, the hotel description said they were. It is a very basic hotel probably only suited to an overnight stay.

Nous avions bien conscience de ce Ă  quoi nous nous engagions en rĂ©servant dans cette chaĂźne, mais force est de constater que certains manquements sont tout simplement inacceptables. Pour un sĂ©jour de cinq nuits, l’expĂ©rience s’est avĂ©rĂ©e ĂȘtre une suite de dĂ©convenues. DĂšs le dĂ©part, la premiĂšre dĂ©ception est survenue avec la carte d’accĂšs : elle a fonctionnĂ© une seule fois, puis, semble-t-il en raison d’un problĂšme de batterie, elle s’est rĂ©vĂ©lĂ©e dĂ©faillante. On m’a alors annoncĂ© qu’on changerait de chambre, promesse qui n’a jamais Ă©tĂ© tenue. ConsĂ©quence : j’ai dĂ» solliciter chaque soir l’aide du personnel pour me faire ouvrir la porte, avec en prime un commentaire dĂ©sinvolte du type « heureusement que vous ĂȘtes au rez-de-chaussĂ©e ». Ce dĂ©sagrĂ©ment a perdurĂ© jusqu’à 21h30, au-delĂ  duquel il fallait se rabattre sur le service du Campanil. Mon emploi du temps imprĂ©visible m’a amenĂ© Ă  revenir tard, Ă  deux reprises au cours de la mĂȘme soirĂ©e. La premiĂšre fois, l’agent du Campanil a simplement rĂ©agi par un « Je vous ouvre, et basta », un comportement qui, bien que sec, Ă©tait acceptable compte tenu des circonstances. La deuxiĂšme fois, la situation a Ă©tĂ© encore plus frustrante : la porte Ă©tait fermĂ©e, j’ai sonnĂ© et attendu cinq minutes sans rĂ©sultat. En dĂ©cidant de faire le tour, je suis tombĂ© sur trois individus sur la terrasse. En leur demandant s’ils appartenaient au personnel de l’hĂŽtel, j’ai eu droit Ă  un bref « Ben ou
