We cannot fault this property as a peaceful and relaxing location for a break. Laura was execllent in her communication, the welcome at the winery was superb and the accommodation was delightful full of character charm.

Check-in was a breeze and Laura was very friendly. Lovely two bedrooms, well furnished. Shower was alittle cold sometime but otherwise everything was okay. Would have been perfect with a washer and dryer.

We did not enjoy our stay here. We could not get hold of reception to ask questions about our check-in and had to call over and over before we finally managed to get hold of them. We got married the night before and were staying here as a relaxing end to our wedding weekend. On checkin the lady said "I believe congratulations are in order! We have put a few small things in your room for you :)" and we said "aww that is so lovely of you!" And she smiled. We didn't expect anything at all, but this was such a kind gesture so we were so excited to checkin except when we did we didn't find anything. We thought maybe the cleaner had missed it, so we got back in contact with reception (eventually!) to clarify and she said "oh no i meant there was a mini bar in your room available for you to purchase". It was so deceitful and misleading given what she said to us and really dampened our stay. On top of that, the items were expired and were being charged out at higher prices than what you could buy them for at whistlers chocolate! So so dodgy. In addition, not having access to the second bedroom without paying another $70 and having a remote that required us to keep the heating and the cooling to certain levels when we were paying over $300 for one night was quite ridiculous. And various aggressive notes around the apartment that 'if you do this you will be charged more'. It was really really disappointing and we wish we had stayed elsewhere. Such a waste of money.

Amazing property to spend a few days. Like a ‘home away from home’. Stunning views from the private cottage and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. Staff could not have been more accommodating! We will definitely be back….

Memorable stay at the cottage

The stay was amazing. We had a good time staying there. We even had friendly family pet dog visiting us and big bunch of white parrots flying pass in the morning. Kids enjoyed the jacuzzi too. The food at restaurant are must try. The wines are unlike the commercial winery. Definitely worth trying.

We found it was cheaper to rent this cottage outside of Perth as compared to booking an apartment in town. How nice is it to wake to the lovely chirping of birds, surrounded by a fully working and active vineyard. So peaceful. Sunsets and sun rises on the deck were amazing. Being greeted by the hosts 2 beautiful dogs was a treat also. Oh and of course, just minutes away from all the local wineries. Freeways and highways are very accessible for the drive anywhere, so driving into Perth was easy. Highly recommend staying here.

Cottage has a nice feel about it. Tastefully renovated, whilst still maintaining its old world charm. The views from the patio over looking the vineyard make for a nice scenery as the sun sets, with a glass of wine and with loved ones or friends and family, you feel like you are in another world. Winery is great with good range of high quality wines. Walk down to the swan river in the morning amongst the grape vines and birds. We stayed as a family with 2 children and had a great time. Plenty to do in the area during the day and within easy drive. Highly recommended place to stay in swan valley.

This is great for a small group of friends on a wine tour throughout the region. Very cosy and comfortable. A bit remote for a family holiday. But if you are up for wine testing it is great

classy, classic and very comfortable

The cottage is over 100 years old and it has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated to make it a fantastic place to stay. It is very spacious, and being the middle of a cold wet winter, it was such a treat to have a fire and reverse cycle a/c. The bed was great and the location is very quite, restful and peaceful. I stayed during the week and during winter. A short stroll takes you down to the river and a short drive takes you into the heart of food and wine country of the Swan Valley. Highly recommend and look forward to staying again.
