"We stayed the night on our way through France. The large family room was perfect for us with 3 young children. It’s a short walk into town and there is an impressive looking municipal outdoor swimming pool 5 mins walk away (unfortunately closed the day we stayed)."

The bathroom is next to the bed in a small closet. The lock for the door is a small padlock. There was a fecal smell that kept us up at night. The bed was a soft mat type bed not a mattress. "Everyone should experience this type of lodging at least once in France. I thought I'd booked in a small town, but in fact, it's a farmstay, B&B. I was happy to learn they offered dinner. "Great location, owner was a Electric car wizz which was helpful at times for someone who was using one of these for the first time. The owners were very prescriptive of how to tidy the flat etc. Perhaps they shouldn't rent on Hotels.com since this wasn't a hotel in any shape or form. It was disappointing that the accomodation wasn't physically in the main Residence, just a small lockoff on the side of the residence"

"Upon arrival, we were told to open the large gates leading up to the driveway of the house. The gates were what I can only describe as something you would see at a 'haunted' house in really poor condition. Our first impressions were not great as the accommodation appeared very old and run down. As we approached the house, the ground were extremely unkempt: overgrown, unclean pool and the tennis court area had seen better days. As we opened the main door, we noticed the wallpaper in the hallway...

"The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere. Breakfast was scant and...

"Gave us the top floor, climbing that spiral stairs was a work out! Besides that location was good, close to port, transportation and restaurant. Public parking expensive if you have car. I would stay here again, but only if I get a first floor room."
