"I thought the hotel was cool, had fun decor and was comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Well positioned for exploring. An older retired family member travelling with us didn’t like the hotel for no real reason that I could ascertain, perhaps it was too cool (rolls eyes) but I guess you just can’t please everyone! "

"We picked Abbaye de Maizieres because it looked interesting. The experience far exceeded our expectations and our expectations were high. Great staff. . .very welcoming and helpful. Betty, Emilie and Thibault were each top notch. We knew they do not have an elevator, but that was not an impediment. . .they were very helpful on that count also. The breakfast was first class. . .we had never had a candlelight breakfast before. They helped with dinner reservations as well. The hotel was easily within walking distance of everything in Beaune. We certainly will return. "
