We loved our stay. It was a convenient location. It was very beneficial to be close to ferry, train and town. We had the luxury of a beautiful view and balcony. the place was very clean and the size was perfect. Would definitely recommend it. The only suggestions we have are: answer phone calls or voice mail, explain how to get off train and walk to residence (we had luggage and had to walk down and then up stairs), have at least 3 rolls of toilet paper, especially if we're paying to stay for more than 3 nights add a frying pan and pot holder. Otherwise, we loved our stay. We never met a staff member or had spoken to anyone. My phone broke and we did not have the code to get inside. I had written down the phone number and tried calling for help. Luckily our daughter is tech squad after sitting outside panicked for 20 minutes, she was able to het code number to enter from hotel.com

The room was very clean. It was close to the train station, but it was also close to the promenade and ferry. You cannot hear any trains whatsoever. This is not a hotel, we were promised to be contacted one week before check in about its details, however, 3 days before check in nobody contacted us. for us, visiting from different country, in the season where no hotels were available, that was stressful enough. I sent a message via Expedia and was told that someone would contact us shortly. All communication was available only via WhatsUp. The check in instructions were clear and easy. The apartment was very clean and very nicely situated. However, for apartment with kitchen, there was no paper towel. There was only one trash bag. The kitchen was equipped with almost everything but, there was no salt and pepper, no water in the fridge, no ice. There was a coffeemaker but enough coffee for one day only. We couldn't find coffee cups in any store, so we had to purchase some instant coffee. There was not enough toilet paper and there was no tissues at all. The outside patio was OK. Metal furniture served its role, but the cushions for the chairs would be a positive addition to the place.

Excellent location and very close to town and restaurants. There is an incline to get to the property if you are walking from the train station which is only 7-10 mins. However, it is not that bad. The property is easy to access. There are a few items that needed repair while we stayed. there are no toiletries in the apartment so make sure you have enough shampoo and soaps. Also we had ants everywhere in the apartment. It was not a big deal. We just placed all of our food in the refrigerator. One last item, they give you a very thin pillow to sleep. If you need more, you will need to communicate with Oscar. There are two many codes for the house. However it is manageable. Would we stay again? Because of its location-yes. However next time, I will carry my extra pillow and pesticide the house before we go in :) the location can not be beat.

Had a great stay in this apartment. Was clean upon arrival and host provided clear instructions. My only complaint would be that the roadworks going on directly in front on property. was very disappointing. would have loved to enjoy the outside seating more but didn't because of this. This was however communicated to me prior to coming with an option to cancel if it were to be a problem. But, this was not enough time to find anywhere else so I didn't feel I had any choice. I would otherwise definitely stay here again. Everything was walkable for me but the hill up to it could be a problem for someone. would 100% recommend (without the works going on outside). Thank you to the host.

La propiedad estaba muy limpia y amplia solo les recomiendo dejar alguna cobija porque pasamos frío pues el aire acondicionado estaba encendido y no pudimos moverlo y en las camas solo había una sabana para taparte y las almohadas ya están demasiado delgadas.

Great apartment. Good size with plenty storage. Great patio with fantastic views. Only negative was the cleaning charge - as you pay for the apartment to be cleaned in your departure, there were a few areas in my arrival that were not as clean as I expected.... Overall though a good apartment in. I’ve resort area

Lovely!

Residenza Decimina is exactly as advertised. We chose this property for our three-night stay in Varenna and would definitely stay here again. Check-in/check-out was seamless as Marco communicated with us regularly and met us upon our arrival. Location near the train station was extremely convenient and we never heard the train while inside the apartment! It was a short walk downhill to the lakefront/ferry landing area and you pass a food market, a small cafe, and a tabacchi shop along the way. It was also a short walk to the main square. Our best meal in the lake area was at the nearby La Veranda dei Pescatori which is just a short walk away!

Asunto oli hyvässä kunnossa, ilmastointi oli todella tarpeen. Sopivan kävelymatkan päässä esim. satamasta ja Varennan kauniista keskustasta ja sen palveluista. Puutarhatkin ovat sopivan matkan päässä. Omistaja oli todella mukava ja asiat sujuivat hyvin. Suosittelen.

5 Great Days on Lake Como

Great, clean, comfortable, modern apartment conveniently located just above the train station, with only a short walk to ferry and picturesque Varena. Great outdoor patio with awesome views of Lake Como. Very happy we picked Varenna and this apartment .

Cute apartment in Varenna

The location of this apartment was fantastic. Close to the train and within easy walking distance to everything. Check in went smoothly, just called when we were on the train from Milan and the owner met us there. Clean well renovated apartment with fantastic view of Lake Como. The trains were close by but not really a noise issue with the windows closed. Enjoyed our stay.

Schöner Aufenthalt am Comersee

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Residenz Decimina. Perfekt gelegen 10min zu Fuss iins Zentrum von Varenna oder 5min zur Schiffanlegestelle. Und in nur 2min ist man am Bahnhof. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und sauber.
