"We loved this property! My family stayed here for 9 days and loved it. The view is amazing! The water is very calm in the evenings and we loved using the paddleboards that came with the house. So fun! The gas fireplace on the deck was wonderful for chilly mornings. The kitchen is well stocked. The neighborhood is very quiet and felt very safe. I did take one star away on the cleaning part because the floors turned all of our feet black. I ended up mopping and that solved the problem. I have noticed that this is a very common problem in other places that we have stayed in the area in the past. But other than that, we absolutely loved this house and would rent it again. The owner is great to deal with. Communication was easy and she is very friendly. I highly recommend this property."

"Booked a weekend getaway, sick and tired of getting unauthorized charges when we stay at one of the local hiltons, so we decided to check out the Purple Parrot. It’s off the main road, and not on the water, but we knew this ahead of time and it’s only about a two minute drive to the beaches. Let’s talk about the cottage! It is the upstairs unit and this place is more well kept than many hotels! It’s clean clean and you can tell the owner takes pride in their lovely property. This unit directly overlooks the pool and bar, so if you don’t want music, which plays until around 10:00, I suggest you don’t book this particular unit. However, we read the listing beforehand, and loved the live entertainment! There is a loft space with two beds, but the ladder is tough and I just took a peak, but it is a nice space! The food at the bar itself was overpriced and just so so, but it wasn’t terrible. The drinks were a good price and it was more locals this time of year and they were all friendly. The pool is clean and the hot tub is hot! Overall, we would go back!"

"This unit is spacious with everything needed for a fun and relaxing vacation. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen has everything. The location is ideal and communication with the property manager was outstanding! Highly recommend this property!"
