"Spectacular venue. Good food. Attentive service. But our room was a little tired looking, a bedsheet was soiled and our room was stocked with too little milk sachets and loo roll. Felt like penny pinching."

"Dave, the host, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Place was very clean. Free parking was a bonus. Mersey ferry was literally a 2 minute walk. Would recommend here for a quiet break."

"We loved our stay at the Britannia Inn. The room was spotless and the bed so comfortable. Ann was so welcoming and friendly which added an extra special touch to the stay. Oh and the food … amazing!! I will be back for sure. "

"Fantastic hotel for my partners birthday! We both enjoyed our stay we didn’t want to leave. The hotel arranged for the balloons to be in the room upon arrival and also left a note with an Everton toblerone. The hotel gave us a room with a view of hill Dickson upon my request which was lovely of them. The spa was fantastic! One of the Best spa’s I’ve been to! There were two weddings during our stay which was lovely to see and didn’t disturb our stay! The rooms are huge and they were just perfect for our weekend away. "
