10/10 Excellent

"Only downside for me was no parking facility. There is a long stay car park near the theatre. A charge of £5 during daytime and free overnight. But you have to update daily at 08.00 hours. This is about 1 10 minute walk from the hotel. Ours was a family get together and suited us being in the centre of town. Would stay there again staff were friendly and very helpful. Thank you Team"

"I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. I was looking for a budget option for one night and chose one of the cheaper offers without having high expectations, but I have to admit that this place exceeded them in a very positive way. The room was clean and comfortable. The room also had a refrigerator stocked with fresh milk and bottled water, as well as a basket with snacks and oatmeal. There was also a microwave and an electric kettle, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was very nice as well, although the shower head could use some maintenance, as quite a lot of water leaks from the hose. I would definitely stay here again. The only downside is that if you want to get a mobile phone signal, you need to go outside to the parking lot."

"The checking was easy & staff were friendly, The room is up 2 flights of stairs, it is very dated & could do with some tlc. The walls had splatter & marks where something had run down them & the bathroom was dirty in the corner. We couldn't get any hot water from the taps so used the kettle which didn't turn itself off. The toilet seat is so cheep that it bends when you sit on it. although the bedding was clean. The window cill had been burned with a cigarette by the look of it & outside the paint was peeling off."

"Spent two nights at the Dragon Inn, a base to visit the Hay book festival. In fairness the accommodation was more than acceptable, and comfortable. What was very disappointing was the staff attitude. A young team with no leadership, demonstrated poor customer service. The waitress chewing gum taking the order was most unwelcome. Food was over cooked and disappointing"
